The British twins, who helped Team GB win a historic bronze medal in apparatus gymnastics at the 2020 Tolio Olympics in 2021, speak openly about their relationship: "I would describe Jess as friendly, she's very open and just lovely," Jennifer said. Your point being? Their father, Natig Gadirov, and their mother are from Azerbaijan and emigrated to London in 2001. Gadirova was born in Ireland while her parents worked there for A FEW MONTHS before returning to England. So in other words, apart from a few months as infants in Ireland - living and being raised in the UK is all they have ever known. They both learned gymnastics in the UK, and have both been fully trained and supported by British Gymnastics for their entire careers. Why exactly wouldn't they compete for GB?
