I remember as a kid in the Welsh valleys during the 80s every now and then we'd get a visit from some of these folk in caravans. and some still in the wooden one with horses. Haven't seen them for years and years now tho. Us kids used to love it when they showed up in the summer . The traveler kids were just like us back then . Wild and free and always fighting lol . And even though there were sometimes trouble happening between the adults us kids never let it bother us and just played together. But there's been travellers in Wales for a long time and still quite large communities to this day . I'll tell you something when you become a good friend to a traveller you'll always be friends. Well unless you try to rip him off in any type of way 😄👍.

They need to play the game of politics. Get onto their local and national politicians put the pressure on them in the right way. Educate yourself on the bylaws this will give you the courage and confidence to approach them in their department's. This is wrong the pressure on minorities to (CONFORM). I'm a Irish Gorga who has live beside travellers all my life. They are people who have a culture that is similar tp ours but different also. All the stuff people accused them of settled people do the same but because we're settled people our shit is more accepted than their shit, that's the decriminalisation right there. The heightened targeting of them helps the government to justify their decriminalisation and blame . ✌️☘️

Giving them land to live on should come with laws they will need to abide by such as all the men to be employed. So that they can maintain their camps, electricity, rubbish, sewage and everyone sticking to the laws of the camp.Elect leaders of the camp that everyone respects and will obey. And if rules not followed evict unruly elements.

I was born in a vardo wagon, and spent lot of my childhood living this way. My parents got tired of the racism and the harassment from the gorges. They sold our Vardo which gave us enough to get to America and we have prospered ever since. GOD BLESS AMERICA! African Americans you have suffered very little compared to us. What we Romani have gone through and still go through is real racism. Plus here in America no one chases us away from land to land. I wish all the BLM and all the activists could see this and know what real racism is.

The ultimate irony in 2023 is that due to economic collapse, thousands of “non Romany” are now living on the streets all over Britain. Many of these people would be only too grateful for a caravan at the roadside, as opposed to dossing under a bridge or a sheltering shop front. I wonder how much attention is currently paid to regulations regarding housing of Romany families. Probably none; too busy putting new arrivals in hotels, with full medical services available, three meals a day, internet, and spending money.

I’m a Roma and let me tell you something this is the funniest sh.t I ever heard ! So we have our bad names because of Irish travellers ?? 😂😂😂😂 .. you should be a comedian 😂😂😂😂 … for Roma people the stealing and robbing and scheming goes back to 4000 years ! Not for every single one of us tho but literally they found writings thousands and thousands of years ago before Islam or Christianity existed Egyptians write down when the ghawazee gypsy tribe arrive in Egypt and it goes like this these dark skined indians who calls them selfs ghawazee that’s our oldest gypsy tribe when arrived they stolen all the horses robbed entire villages cheated many Egyptians out of their money so they were scheming robbing killing !! .. this was before Christianity existed ! Um don’t forget during these times Irish travellers didn’t call them selfs gypsies and Roma didn’t had any idea about any Europeans ! It is what it is ! We Roma cannot blame no body for our a criminality ! It’s either in you or not ! Not saying every single one of us born as criminals but hey there are many who does ! And this is the truth ! It’s our own kind whose been giving us all bad names since more than thousands of years now ! 🙄 😂
