No, it's not "irresponsible" of the parent. With a LOT of birds like these, siblingcide is the order of the day. It's going to happen no matter what. It even happens in front of the parent, and the parent does not stop it. While they might lay two eggs, or more, they only ever intend on taking care of one. Which ever one proves the strongest is the one that survives - usually the first born. But, if something happens with the first before it's strong enough, having a second egg provides a measure of redundancy. But once they are strong enough, nature kicks in. You can not force nature to fit your sensibilities, and none of us have any right to try to force our of views, opinion, nor morals, on these animals. What you view as "bad" they just see as a typical day. It's just how it is for them, and that's never going to change.

after watched so many nest activities, I agree we need to learn to follow the nature way, not human way. we are here only to observe. I, as one human being, lost and forgot a lot of the rules from nature world. I understand it now.

適当に自分の思いだけで解説するより、静かに自然の状態を見せて欲しいものだ!
Sorry i had to turn volume off due to your voice. By the way, among Hawks and Eagles, this is commonly seen. This is a nature to them. We as a human should not judge their nature. Yes I agree this is brutal in a human point of view.
Don't look at it as a human ... that's nature way

Would be to see elder sibling feeds young sibling, but it's just not written in their DNA but it can by teaching it feed it's sibling by grabbing eldest head and force it to learn how to feed it's sibling it's that simple
Narasi-nya membuat penonton tidak nyaman.

It's better to have no narration.
Knapa induknya diam aja ketika anak yg tua menghajar adiknya

itu masih dalm pertanyaan saya,tp klu predator lain yg menyerang nya, indukan dgn agresip melindunginya, klu di lihat dari segi bahaya,sama2 bahaya
Nice video
Das Problem ist, dass der andere Küken nicht angreift, sich verteidigt! 😮😮😮
Do you have to continually talk all through the video? We can see what is happening without the running commentary. Just want to watch and hear the birds. If you want to explain then just put the words up and not talk please, it is too distracting. Like someone else said,I had to turn off the sound off because your voice was too annoying, it was frustrating trying to hear the bird sounds over your voice!
ternyata bulian gk cuma manusia aja diperhewanan juga ada ternyata
Brutal 😡😣
Mantul
That's a Mole not a Rat.
What makes you think it's a male sibling doing the bullying? Usually the larger sibling is female.

That's not true. Typically, especially when they are young like these, the largest is the first born. Usually born a few days prior to the sibling. The result is they grow faster and eat more - and once strong enough, Typically kill off the sibling - proving who is stronger of the two - which is exactly what the parent expects. They have two eggs out of redundancy, just in case. But they typically only ever actually rear one chick to adulthood per clutch. It's survival of the fittest. Nothing more.
