atomic slash was based off of how in the anime, atomic samurai's slashes go to an atomic level, thats why his name is atomic samurai. and the part of the move where the katana is all yellow and light is a reference to the pose he made in the manga.

Atmos cleave move is based off Devil May Cry Vergil Yamato move "Aerial rave" and finisher is also Vergil Yamato move called "Aerial cleave". Atomic Samurai / Blade master ult animation is based off Dark souls fire imbuing animation, Sunset is also based off boss move from dark souls 3 / Dark souls (Soul of cinder or Lord of Cinder/Gwyn) , atomic samurai theme plays different version of Soul of Cinder theme from Dark souls 3. His Awakening theme also contains "plin plin plon" from dark souls gwyn bossifght theme
