I can't believe this. This is great news.

Still waiting! So stoked on the new Voidz album, but God I wish they would finish this new Strokes album soon! 😭😭😭

Cannot wait! I love almost every Strokes song but The New Abnormal definitely felt like a Strokes that have found a freshness & new beginning with renewed appreciation of each other so not surprised this next album is gonna be sooner rather than later.

I can’t believe the album is already recorded!! So hyped!!!

Great news about new album by The Strokes. The New Abnormal was better than I hoped for so hoping that they pick up where they left off & the new album brings somemore Strokes goodness. Hopefully a decent UK tour too that we have been waiting for since 2006 when they toured First Impressions of Earth.

All I want / expect is for them to keep making music they wanna make, truly.

Not sure when the recordings sessions would of been cause the strokes have been here there everywhere this Year so where did they find the time?

Great. New abnormal is cool and all, but I think it would have been even better if Rick rubin didn't have as much say in it. Vocals were a bit too loud on many of the tracks

@AB-sw4kb all strokes albums are good. But first impressions had the same issue with the vocals being too loud. I like the raw sound of the album but it only worked with the strokes being more rock n roll. I'd like so see strokes do more of what the new abnormal was doing, partly new wave stuff. I hope the new album is a bit more messy and loose. The loud vocals worked mostly like with At The Door. But some were just a bit too distracting.

@anandmahamuni5442 no way. It's a little too modern pop for my taste. But Room on Fire is their best album. A lot more expiremental than Is This It. Just more creative overall. Julian seems to think that too

The new abnormal was recorded in california I think. So I don't think it's referring to that. I don't know where they found the time to do that even when they've been touring
