My wife (81) had a massive stroke eight weeks ago. She cannot speak, cannot swallow, cannot move right leg and arm, and has her left hand bound up, so as not to pull out feeding tubes. I try to visit every day. We've been married 61 years. It's heartbreaking.

I had a celebral stroke and as in the hospital with vertigo, nausea etc, lost almost 25 pounds, was on blood thinning needles in my stomach, lost control of my left arm, from elbow down, ....couldn’t believe how hard it was to do simple tasks, Listen to Shepherds Chapel bible series, daily, needed The Lord to heal me mentally, physically, spiritually ...♥️♥️💗I got my arm and hand back over 2 yrs later, got feeling back, ♥️♥️♥️then had afall on ice and fell my head bounced on cement, not the same p, headaches, neck pain, back pain ongoing, ♥️♥️BUt I Had the Lord ... He has helped recover.....l THankyou YHVH

I remember how it all started some years back. That night I started having some funny sensation on my legs only to wake up the following morning to discover I hardly could move my legs. I quickly rushed to a hospital. But two days later, the doctors referred me to Mayo Clinic, where I was diagnosed with a partial paralysis. Immediately treatment started. For several years I was receiving treatment there without improvement. It was a friend after seeing my health condition who suggested I should see a herbal doctor, who is specialized in roots and herbs healing powers. Genneika Greene is it possible that we communicate with each other. I was older than you when I had my stroke and find it hard to seriously communicate with my friends and family because that don’t understand what I’m going through. I’m 3 years out post stroke and 37 yrs old. I know I’m blessed and try to be positive and work but sometimes its hard to not block everyone out. I initially had anxiety but now have depression if I’m not constantly on the go.

I had 2 strokes at the age of 34 and it really sucks but still working on my recovery, i couldn’t sit up straight post stroke or eat and drink because of the brain damage, now i’m walking again.positivity is key for recovery from stroke or you’re fucked

I’m a stroke survivor myself, I know how hard it is when you have to rely only on yourself. Thank you for all the recovery video it gives us hope.

My father has suffered a massive combined stroke (ischemic and hemorrhagic) 2,5 years ago, stayed at the hospital for 4 weeks and doctors basically told me and my mom that he was very unlikely to survive due to the nature and the severity of the stroke. Thanks to God my dad not only survived, but has regained movement in his leg, regained his memory, his cognitive skills, he even works from home part-time. Unfortunately he did not regain movement in the affected arm and hand and he now suffers from chronic fatigue and has been unstable emotionally, but he has done amazing knowing the initial prognosis that the doctors gave us. I thank God every day for not taking my dad away and I am extremely grateful that my dad is alive and well and that he got to meet his grandson 1,5 years ago. Stroke is a bitch, but here is life after stroke. Physical rehabilitation and family support do wonders!

bless you i had a aneurism cause mea stroke at 43 i feel for you to have had one so young i always been thinking to myself atleast i was old and it must be horrible for you so young and others young it is very hard for me to get better but i am determined too i will pray for you and all others as i pray for others alot i used my best prayer i think to pray for snow as a kid to get time off scool i know it was answered because i got months off due to a blissard but others i prayed for have overcome serious injuries since but others passed away god must have so much to do and i try not to doubt butt life is a jungle and dangerous unpridectable place i am very lucky to have survived i like to read that it is possible to recover because there is alot of negitaveity from people i see life differently now and when i next go danceing i will post a vidio to show it is possible to fix youreself i was looking for some exercises to do to regain some hand use and walking again how i happend to read youre post

Amazing stories people. So thought I'd write mine. I have my stroke September 15th 2008 at 17 paralyzed on my right so 3 months in hospital learning to walk and talk. Then after that two years on have testicular cancer then drunk heavily for 2 years then after 5 years all clear I went to Spain for 6 months learned the language a bit. Then just back from South America after 8 months but I'm still trying to improve function of the right arm and I'm living at home and terrified of relationships so that's my story. Suffered a hemorrhagic stroke a month ago, was sent to the hospital the same night and sometime after was given the news after an MRI. My right side doesn't function right and while I can use it my right arm and leg still feel deadened. This took most of my drawing skill, which was soul crushing. It wasn't a stroke on the level of these people but it was something big and an impact on my life. I'm only 21, the experience is debilitating on my mind and spirit. It's uplifting to hear stories from other people, to see such courage in the face of such hardship. It's easy to laugh and cry about your situation, but it takes guts to look on the bright side and be happy despite such transgressions.

that was really good. I know someone who's had a stroke and they are in hospital and so frustrated and annoyed. this was good because it addresses how emotions are affected by a stroke and how angry people can get, how frustrated people can get but also how determined people can be. Very bitter sweet.

I had a stroke back in may in San Diego while walking my dog. I remember everything. I couldn’t get a word out. My speech was slur. Thankfully there were people around walking their dog and came to my aid. I was in the ER within 30 minutes bc it was near by. I was given TPA to dissolve the clot. I’m back to normal but I noticed I forget a lot.

Exactly I also had a very severe haemorrhagic stroke but under a different circumstance,I had a seizure for the very first time in my life fell down with my head to the ground,was taken to the ER and the next thing I know is craniotomy and gbam it's stroke like have started walking and doing some other things too but still forgetful and haven't really mastered to use my left hand and I hope to soon because staying home all day and night is really stressful and I get to think a lot too,I just wanna have my life back

I had a stroke last week while feeding my cats. Totally out of the blue. I'm not overweight I have low blood pressure. I'm very apprehensive as to what the future holds. I'm currently getting speech therapy etc so I guess on the bright side at least I'm ambulatory and people can understand me at this point. Not happening when I was in the ER. Nothing more frustrating than knowing you can't explain to them what you have endured.

I had a stroke in 2019, we should be proud of us who did survive and grateful to everyone who helped us (physicians, therapists, familly...) but from my point of view it is either stay in bed or wake yourself up to get better, it's only up to you and that strong courage is to me the willing to live your life the best you can :) I wish you'all the best, perseverance and reps are the key. I myself am going to be an MD now, and I hope one day it'll be my turn to help others like they did .

I stroked in September of 2010, due to a paradoxical embolism. Thankfully, I was able to regain a lot of my function fairly quickly, but it was a confusing and scary time.

I am so glad to hear the heart in your comment. I suffered a full right side body stroke that left me paralysed for about 6 mos to a year. After a month of rehab, coverage of Medicare ran out, and I was sent home in a wheel chair and told I had a 50/50 chance of movement or even walking again. No money for therapy. No insurance. I have struggled but because I am a very detirmined person, I did not give up. I got to use a walker after 1 yr., and was walking with a cane by 2 yrs. Finally, I am fully walking now, after 4.5 yrs. and only use my stick for steps and curbs. I can now feel confident enough to drive again. I have had so many effects on my lower body, such as bowel and bladder incontinence, scatica of my hips that makes sitting very difficult, and a terrible attack of herpes that I never realised I had been exposed to over 35 yrs. ago.It comes back and gives me such trouble. Even with all these dificulties I am glad to be alive. Thanks to my husband of 27 yrs., I am a survivor. I try to live each day as though it is my FIRST! Thank you.

Sir! You inspire me! I am 1 1/2 years post stroke and fighting to recover, left arm and hand still not functioning and walk with cane. Am now 54 years of age and have much yet to accomplish, so yes never give up. I am so fortunate to have wonderful kids who are assisting me through this journey. I usually do not reply or comment however your story and insight is wonderful and offers alot of hope to many, so thank you knd sir, it is truly appreciated and offers some lights to help navigate through the darkness, and never give up. Be strong you will overcome one day just have faith and trust god. I got a stroke today 1year age 52 i can move around but i use a cane for long distance. Can't use my left hand well enough yet but I'm getting there. Don't have a support group to help pull me through recuperating. Then i was diagnosed with Dcis early stage breast cancer had surgery after doing 10 biopsies didn't lose my breast thank god. Did 1 month radiation treatment 5 days a week ( 😢 😢 😢) on an empty stomach when I'm finished i can hardly walk but god gave me strength because my time on earth isn't done yet. My only fear right now i need some heaalthy nutritious juice and meals to regain my strength and health but been rejected by my family I'm in a women's shelter lonely depressed and heartbroken. Wondering what did i do to be going through all of this alone. So if you have a good friend or family helping you love them. Because nobody loves me I'm searching for that help and love god bless you and everyone 😥 😥 😥

I’m so glad because some people don’t see the warning sign from God and you did I too have the same story to tell and I’ve turned my life around I have not touched a cigarette in six months or alcohol I’ve drank a cup of wine twice and I now do intermittent fasting. And I drink lemon mix with cayenne pepper and ginger and eat fruits and vegetables a lot I’ve got rid of everything negative in my life including toxic people. I wish you well HEALTH IS WEALTH.

Don't think I'm lying I had a stroke when I was 19 I'm 39 now, your never the same.....it's hard but so is death so I'm thankful.....I changed my lifestyle too but it's hard to have to give up the things that we injoy aka all the bad things. I wish you well......your not alone.

I can't even imagine how scary a stroke must be. It's amazing what obstacles the human spirit really can, and does, overcome. Mary's singing voice is so gorgeous- soft and soothing, and I'm sure there are many people who are glad she's found this way to put her talents to use.

My mom had a stroke yesterday so.. here I am

Even at my young age, I have been through this shortly after breaking my neck (military). Didn't have very much nerve issue's until stroke. After I lost my right side, memory and at times I zone out and don't know it. I now have my right arm mostly back after 6 months and right leg is getting close. Being young, people mostly ask if I was doing drugs, so I now just say neck injury and don't bother explaining further. I did learn to do a lot with one arm. These people are strong. when I saw saw Mike use his bad arm to do the puzzle, it made me very happy for him. It's amazing what the body can do. I always loved fitness and it has helped me go a long way. Thank you for showing this.

I had my stroke December 6 2020 and came home on 11 2021. I felt so lonely but my family and my friends I met in the hospital made my time in hospital much easier. Now im doing rehab at home and with this covid is pretty hard to go out and do other things. My carrers helping with my excercises while waiting for my first session with the physio. I live in Melbourne Australia, being here for 12 years now never thought this would happened to me but now I'm trying to walk again. Lost my whole left side during the stroke , im making a lot of progress but still a long way to go to get back to somewhere close to how I was before the stoke or even better. I was in the rehab hospital with one lovely kiwi lady aswell. I know how hard it can be for someone much older than me. Im only 38 and some of these patients were in their 60's and 70's. But anyone can come back from this if you put in the hard work excercise daily, eat well and push through the pain and you will be back to great life. Give it all to God 🙏🙏. God can hear us and can see our pain. Keep exercising and stay stress free.

My mom suffered a massive stroke at 38 the day after birthday it has almost been a whole year on October 21 it will be a year I was the only kid in the room at that time my mom is married to a woman my other mom (her wife) was telling me to go get one of the adults in the house to help my moms last words before she was out of it we’re I will always love you then she started slurring her speech at the time I was in 6 grade I had good grades with a couple Cs before this happened when I went back to school on Monday I was a reck I was calling home every single recess to see how she was doing one day as I was at home I called my mom the one that was not suffering and I heard something that brought me to tears she said to my mom “Hey sweety your in the hospital you had a stroke” she went into surgery the day she had her stroke to remove some of the skull she was in the icu for a week or two then down to the hospital area then she had surgery once the swelling went down to put the part of the skull back in so she went back to icu after she was a bit better she went to rehab she came home she didn’t die she is starting to walk more her arm needs a little work but she is doing way better today like this comment to encourage her to keep fighting and if you or someone you love has went through this experience

I had two aneurysms/haemmorhagic strokes at the age of 4 and a half in 1969 in Burbank California. I wish this would have been presented to me then. This may have helped me. I am completely independant, but it have been nice to try this experiment. David Barban

This video is really good at helping you understand what its like having a stroke. I didn't have all the symtems of a stroke but I had quite a few. I got to the hospital on time. But my directions on how to care for myself afterwards were mostly up to me to find out about like thru videos like this one.

I can imagine how frustrating things are after stroke.

Hi I had 1 big stroke and 3 smaller ones 3.5 years ago due to sugar and high bp I was one of the lucky ones I'm 65 now have minor memory issues and some numbness on my whole right side but the big thing is spasticity muscles tightening and pain some times

My mom recently had a massive stroke and the doctors told us that it would only be a matter of time before she went brain dead. Thank God She is still alive and on the road to recovery.She has had a vp shunt for over 20 years and that is what helped her survive. She now have a trach and peg but we are hoping that she will regain her ability to swallow. It’s been about 2 months post stroke and she has been so emotion and says she doesn’t want to live somedays. My family and I are trying to hard to help her with her emotions because it is impacting her ability to participate in therapy 🙁

Sharnae, is she able to walk? One of the things I had read was walking will help neuroplasticity, the ability to regenerate neurons in the brain. Stepping barefoot on the grass also can make a difference. Please let me know. -Frank

The day before my grandmama had her massive stroke she had been out shopping all day with my aunt to prepare for a family christening the next day. My aunt said Grandma had complained of having a headache that day. She came home from shopping and told grandpa she had a headache and was going to lie down before making dinner. My aunt told me she went to say bye to grandma before she left and grandma had told her "no matter what happens, make sure the food gets to the church tomorrow." That's the last thing she ever said. She laid down and grandpa couldn't wake her up later. An MRI at the hospital showed a massive hemorrhagic stroke and she passed a few days later. Unbeknownst to all of us, she had stopped taking her blood pressure meds months before. I'm glad she had come out to California three months prior for my wedding. Miss you grandma and love you lots. 🌹

This video gives me hope in my darkest hour. Seeing how These people pick back up their lives and carry on makes me not want to give up as well. Keep going no matter how difficult it may seem and don’t stop fighting!

I had a ICH stroke in February of this year. I know it’s only been two months but I relate with the detective on this show- I’m so nervous I’ll get another one again. I got most of my functions back, my vision and emotions are the two things that are being held back. I’ve tried my best to remain postive and even pray to god now but the fear of having another stroke is intense and may be too much one day

THANK YOU for this video! I have aphasia after a left sided stroke, and this is the first time I have heard it described so clearly! I have lost friends because they just backed off and would not "walk with me" through it. I have PTSD from the stroke..(also had back to back seizures at the same time) and I get so frustrated when the thought is there in my head but it will not come out of my lips. It is a true daily fight.

Bless your heart. It hurts that people who you thought were friends turn their back on you. I want to tell you that it’s their loss. My mom had a massive stroke and lived for 355 days after her stroke. 6 months after her stroke she started having seizures and went down hill from there. I was her caregiver for that year and I suffer from PTSD because of what she went through and it effected me so much. I still have trouble sleeping and suffer from PTSD. God bless you and I hope you are continuing to get better every day.

I survived two massive strokes but God healed me, thank you Lord Jesus Christ my mighty healer!. Amen

My story is similar to Lea's. i also was a crime scene investigator, supervisor. Woke up one day and had lost my vision on eight eye. Then massive headache. Had no idea it was a stroke. Had to retire. Found out it was the second one within a few months. Got my visin back but lost alot of confidence and critical thinking skills. Been two years and much better but struggle with depression, mood swings and anxiety.

Rebecca Stokes I too now struggle with some depression that I never had before. Mainly, because I'm staring over and having to find a new, less physicality stressful job during recovery has been very hard. I've lost what little stability I had. I do still work hard towards getting well and try to enjoy life. Good Luck to you.

If you don't mind my asking: did you have high blood pressure; were you on any medications? Were you taking supplements of any kind (fish oils etc.). There's a clue to what is happening and we're missing it! I'm glad you got your vision back; hope you are improving!

Me too a survivor of stroke which effected my whole right side. Started therapy after two weeks. Changed my life completely so farther change was needed. While in therapy I started a new whole plant food diet. 1. First weeks I walk with no walker. 2.week my right side improved. I gained use of my right arm. 3. 4th Discharged home for homecare for two week, voice slowly came back. 4. Began outpatient care all movement improved. 5. Returned to normal 85% balance is the issue. I owe it all to the whole plant food which my medicine.

I’m 46 and I think I had a stroke back in 2013. My doctor had just put me on adderol for ADHD. I’ve looked back at photos and noticed that my face was lopsided. I was under major stress in 2013 and went to stand up one day and my leg wouldn’t work and I fell. Another day my arm was super weak. I couldn’t do things like put my phone charger into the wall. Then I had major balance issues after that that I still have but it’s gotten a lot better. I had a hard time explaining things, was emotionally, klutzy, couldn’t think of words, was acting odd, etc. In 2016, I started having a hard time swallowing saliva. That got better and then I started having a hard time swallowing food. Blurry vision and I starting having panic when I had to leave my home. I used to love doing stuff and then I became afraid to leave my house. I had a hard time reading and remembering but now I can do both of those again. Watching TV was hard. Couldn’t stay focused easily. I was told I repeated myself all the time. I had ear pain, etc. I just discovered that I have heart issues and very high cholesterol, so I really think I had a stroke or a few strokes.

My father just suffered a major stroke, so I'm doing research, I'm very worried about him

I had no idea I was having a stroke. I had many TIA's before my full stroke. Some of my stroke symptoms were vertigo and vision loss. I told my story on my youtube channel of what is was like before during and after.

The stroke doesn't hurt! The headache after you would rather die then feel it! It lasted a full 2 days and the throwing up with hot flashes and dizziness its awful! I thank God he spared my life and function. I had an accute right mca stroke at the age of 38.

thank you. recovery is a journey we need to take step by step. i recovered from paralysis after an accident. i am not yet there but I am independent but can do lots for myself at my own pace.

I had I stroke when I was 13 just yesterday, such a scary feeling.. my vision,hearing and over all body awareness was effected

Grandad had a stroke after blood clot a few days ago; had micro strokes for the last year. I’m going to see him tomorrow; he’s been affected badly according to my mom, but I hope he’ll be able to recover to a good degree. He’s been smoker with high bp and cholesterol.

So yesterday my mother had an aortic aneurysm and a stroke, she was rushed to the hospital where they rushed her into surgery immediately to fix the aneurysm she has pulled through the surgery, the doctors checked her vitals it all looks normal and she is stable she has good blood flow to all her extremities and her extremities are warm which means they are getting blood flow the one thing that is tricky now is she has some trouble responding to commands like raise your right arm and raise your left arm and move your legs the doctors think her cognitive delay and poor response may be a result of the pain meds and anesthesia or unfortunately it may be from the stroke I’m praying for her to make a full recovery from all of this but only time will tell

I can totally empathise ,my mum had a stroke in January and because of covid they couldn't trasfer her in a stroke unit. Now has been over month we haven't seen her and we can't till get move into a rehabilitation centre. She can't talk or move one size of her body. Thankfully she can eat and swallow on her own but we are in total despair as my mum was an extraordinary 70 year old, full of energy and good spirit. I'm praying everyday for a miracle . My soul is sick to the chore and I won't heal till mother will. How's your mum? sending you my best wishes as I know the pain you and her are going through is second to none.

I keep moving after coma 2 months. I said to my kids throw my wheelchair n walker! I tried to walk then fall...bleeding my feet. Fall many times. But keep walking until now. No more cane! If you dont move. You ll loose it. Very hard. But never give up! My eys can see before.n i burn my hands several time for making my own breakfast.my hub is run away from me too. My life is so complete. My carrer is destroy.. i cant remember nothing for 2 months coma. Only screaming a lot n cant breath.

you got the right attitute woman i try but i am not let i want to just go out front and trow this crappy wheelchair in the skip i can walk some without a stick but if i fall it will be game over for me they tried to scare me to give up i would be better by now left to my own devices and ways i will get some freedome sone i hope got an interview on monday to see if i can get out of care homes these places are needed for some peeps but not me i feel fully parolised because i am not allowed do things i learned to do already like cook and stuff i need to get better at plus i want to buils stuff and not allowed to try to use my toolsi am afraid now and never was at first but i got my plan and i will suceed i know best wishes god bless

I had bleeding in my feet too. Under the toe nails. Don't know why that happened, there was no pain. Then I start having stroke. I was in perfect health. No jabs. No doctor could explain what or why this was happening.

You can have mini strokes but be careful keep an eye open on your health that’s what happened to me before my big one.

I knew I was having a stroke as soon as I lost strength in my right arm, managed to get to phone to tell my daughter, speech was just a slurring she knew too so rang emergency,. am really one of the lucky ones,.

in '95 I was diagnosed with a big brain artery aneurism just out of the blue. I had a very healthy and active life. Finished the university, you know just about ready to settle down, I had a small flat, half paid mortgage, single, independent. I have 2 younger siblings. there is a 7 years age gap with my amazing sister and a lovely brother who is 18 year younger than me. I had migrene headaches, since like age of 14. Migrenes were challenging because started with thunder-storm-like lights,, so I was not able to see properly then I could smell everything haha like a dog, then I was unable to concentrate I became very light-headed and then started the pain. The pain was very intensive and I did not feel my fingers, hands even part of my face. But just on the right hand side so it was really scary. I only use aspirin or/and paracetamol for the headache, of course it did not help too much. I had several medical exams, tests, CT, MRI, EEG and was hospitalized as well a couple of times but nothing absolutely nothing was found. But in 95 was a very hard year at migrene- and pain-vise also I was fed up with that mysterious pain so I was sure I had a tumor, there was no google option so I made an appointment at a professor a brain surgeon maybe he could see something.. and he DID SEE something. After the angiography he told me that I have a big aneurysm on my arteria that must be fixed ASAP and he offered me that he would take my case. The angiography was a torture and after that I was only committed and my bp hardly could manage so after that I could not go home. Everything happened so fast and it was a long /for me defo/ 4 ,5 hours opened brain surgery and my arthery was fixed with a small metal clip. But during the op I got an epileptic shock so the operation boring and the medical team could learn a lot from it, I hope so🙂 It turned out that probably there is/will be more aneurisms because the collagen deficit of my artheries/veins. So a pregnancy would be fatal in my case /I was absolutely broken/ also I there are things I can not do. Since then I am on medications like high blood pressure, arythmia, PTSD, anxiety, mood swingsand depression but here I am. I still have migrenes but less intensive. I stopped driving because my reflexes are not so good and I don't feel it safe at all. Apologiez my wordy story but it is important that try to listen to your body because it sends you sings maybe and that could be a life saver. At 50 I changed my life style. I quit my stressful 9 to who knows when job, I work only part time, I do what I like to do and try to enjoy my life, spend with my loved ones as much as I can. hugs and many thanks for your time.

My nana died from a stroke 21 years ago she was just 75

I had a stroke in 2018 at the age of 27. I cried after I woke up on the hospital. I could not get a word out or move my left side. My legs I could not even lift them. Currently I am 95% back to normal but I got really tired sometimes at basic things at my home. Maximum I can stay awake is like 10 hours. By 7pm I am already sleeping. As the last months lately I been more relaxed and more awake. I can do more things now. But my doctor already investigated that it might be the methadone that I take that is causing this.

Dr told me tiredness is beacause like a computer the brain is rebooting and unlike a computers we cant be turned of to reboot so it causes tiredness.

My friend had a stroke last year and had brain bleeding discovered while she was in hospital

My mom just had a tiny stroke but idk what to expect

i found after my stroke that my thought filters did not work...i would say things normally i would not........got me into terrible strife

My father (55) died because of basilar artery occlusion, cerebellar infarct. If anybody is interested to study this case I will provide you the reports. The doctors who treated him couldn't tell the exact cause of the stroke. I hope that someone will help us in knowing the cause. He woke up at 1: 40 am and complained of dizziness and he couldn't stand on his own, he talked for around 15 minutes and went completely unconscious after that. We shifted him to the hospital within 20 minutes. The local doctors suggested us to shift him to a big hospital which is a three-hour journey. We shifted him to a big hospital by 5: 50 am. Those doctors did an MRI scan and told us that cerebellum is damaged. We kept him on a ventilator for 1 day and he died after that.

Thoughg I would share my story. I had an ischemic stroke at 33 missed 9 months of work and feel like a completely different person. Most people dont see any differemce in me and think im the same person. For me that is what irritantes me the most because i have so mamy problems. I alwayd feared i would have another one and i did at 34 yrs old. The second wasnt anywhere near as bad as the first one so i am lucky. Doctors dont know why I have had 2. I dont smoke, drink, i eat healthy and im fit. The day i had the first stroke i ran 10 miles. Although i have recovered alot and i am not bad as some people my left side no longer works the same. My Memory sucks and my hands just dont work the same. I eat slower becausek have trouble swallowing sometimes. I used to have really good handwriting not anymore. I have emotions that i never knew i had i used yo never cry and things didnt upset me. I no longer can control things like used to. But i am blessed i am still here

Depression from having strokes is very serious

Watching this because I found a homeless guy having a stroke at 5am this morning

My sister and I have a genetic clotting disorder that was diagnosed after she had an ischemic stoke and I an arterial blood clot. I think it explains a lot about deaths of others in my family. I'm trying to stay alive for sister but if she dies first I'm right behind her. No one should live this life.

Please don't give up my friend. There are therapeutics that help with blot clotting and with other actions your sister and you suffer from due to the genic problems you both suffer from. Please go to a stroke center, get a stroke professional to treat you and your sister. Do everything you can to make your life better. I know it's extremely difficult, but It can be done. I want you to know I am praying for you and your sister, and my prayers are very sincere for you both. I will do whatever I can to help you, I will try to find information to help you. I want you to know I suffered a stroke three months ago, I spent 7 gays in a world class stroke center in Los Angeles, Cedars Sinai Medical Stroke Carter. They helped me slot. I am however 80 years old and help at my age is relative. My Doctor was honest with me as I ask him to be, be said I could send you home in a few days or I could be called in here to pronounce your passing in a few days. Strokes are weird in many ways and as my Doctor once said, 'dfferebt strokes for different folks". My crooked smile matched his because he too had suffered a stroke several weeks prior to mine. I admired him a great deal. He calls me time to time to ask how I'm doing. He's a fine gentleman, and he cares about me. I truly care about him as well. If he were to pass Away I would miss him terribly. His smile is earth shaking, altho a bit crooked, it's still earth shaking.. Please take are of yourself, and your sister. Physical therapy would be helpful, it was for me. Also a world class. Stroke center, and a world class stroke physician would be even more helpful. I hope my prayers help you both, and that God blesses you with good health and many years of good lives. I will remember you both. God will too. My stroke causes me to use a wheelchair, and at times a seated walker to get around my home. Life is difficult, but worth the difficulty especially for you and your sister enjoying each other's company. Take care my friends. My prayers for you everyday. my dad just suffered stroke. cant move left arm and weakness on left leg. his behavior become like a child and I have to watch everything he do because he doing it carelessly and even trying to go downstair by his own. he still looking for cigarettes having no regrets. yesterday he fell in bathroom hitting his mouth to toilet. luckily just minor injuries. he's angry when advised that he does is dangerous. he's also angry when having headache or pain on his body. I'm scared his children like behavior be forever.

My mother had a massive stroke of the left brain on labor day. She is still in the hospital, but they are already talking about discharging her. I don't think she's ready for that. I know i am not ready. She cannot talk or even swallow.

I had a mild stroke several years ago. I had a mild aphasia,and still have good and bad days, with times of brain fog. It gets frustrating.
