I met Stuart Pearce in a Pub in Stapleford about 20 years ago.... We had a chat about our mutual love of the Stranglers, then I was at Rock City watching them in Notts and he came up to me and remembered our conversation... Absolutely top bloke, he is perfect in this video. Brilliant. x

I'm about a mile away from Stapleford. Spent many a formative evening in the pubs on Derby Rd in the early 90's. H+J was always a good pub. Pavillion wasn't too bad for the "New' Pub and the Chequers was handy if you were waiting for a bus to go into Nottingham (if you were really lucky and they knew you, you could get them to serve you out of the window at the bus stop) memorable night in Stabbo when England lost to Germany in 1990.....didn't stop long as it all kicked off after the final whistle.

Jett Black was about 40 when he started the band, and between him and Vi Subversa (The Poison Girls), who was even older when she started her name, I've got plenty reason why I'm as old as I am and haven't given up on being a musician.

I absolutely agree. "This Song" was written by Mathew Seamarks, but the Stranglers have added some lyrics and really made it their own. It's a great album.

Superb! Psycho absolutely outstanding, played with menace and humour, just like his football! I'm sure for him a labour of love knowing his impeccable taste in music! A career in acting maybe??? Excellent cover and a lovely tribute to the legend Dave Greenfield! Bravo!! 🐀🐀🐀

When he was England captain he used to make the team listen to the Stranglers on the way to the stadium on match days.

That's got to be the best acting performance I've ever seen from a footballer. Man deserves an Oscar!

Truly underated band.... Not really been into Punk stuff down the years, but this band has sparked my interest (along with a few others). Going thru their 40+ years, catalogue I've concluded they're are a truly SPECIAL band.👍🎸🥁🎶

A great piece of music. Instantly recognisable as the band we love. Stuart is the icing on the cake. A lesson on how to retain credibility. Not easy, well done.

I remember seeing stranglers live in Edinburgh playhouse, big in America tour and I was hooked, played with a band called Mal Deutschland, totally mesmerising with greenfield s carnival like doors 60s keyboard sound and John jacques burnells pounding bass lines and Bruce lee Kung fu kicks, and even jet black keeping the drum beat within it and Cornwall s gruff yet melodic voice-4 musicians playing off each other and the sound was phenomenal

Incredible. In some places such as from 1:42 to 1:47 you can hear sounds from the keys like 40-45 years ago!

Great to hear Dave's keyboards more out front in the mix on this album , wish I could mix them even higher !! Don't know why they seemed to recede in to the background after the Meninblack album and at live gigs too. Four great musicians.

Fortunately Dave still played on this song before he [passed, as he did with most of the songs on the new album except like three or four.

Wow…still amazing and unique.. RIP Dave.
