Fun fact: I used to work in the Eircom call centre there behind fibbers for a company called HCL (the big horrible grey building) Both fibbers and living room would be rammed every friday from half 4. 6 floors of people floating around the kip with big blue HCL lanyards.

Definitely a part 2! That had the vibe of the start of deadly session😂

Sim card plus fibbers....what a match! If you want a late drink its genuinely such a good spot.

Yeah it had a totally different layout. Real rockers and goths drank there back then.

The cut at the bottom of a beer glass is a thing. It's called nucleation, which increases the head on a beer. All branded beer glasses will have a different nucleation to best present the beer according to how the brewery wants it. From memory Harp and Miller glasses always had high levels of carbonation, so the lads were on to something. It's a common thing for people to ask for in local bars. There you are now

Really enjoy all your videos, but this one might be my favorite so far. From a sheer "pub talk perspective" it was fantastic. As an Irish American, I love conversations about true Irish Pubs. What makes them tick. What works and doesn't work. I could listen to that all day. Kevin is a funny dude. And Fibber Magees looks like a great pub. Definitely giving it a visit my next trip to Dublin. And as a lifelong classic rock/heavy metal guy, I love their taste in music. You should get into some Iron Maiden & Judas Priest, Daragh. They were the gold standard of 80's Metal. And both are still going strong today. 🤘

I was in Murrays several evenings and the smoking area was connected to Fibber Magees so I went in there. It is definitely a special pub and well worth a visit.

I know you have to keep the videos to a certain length for the algorithm but this still felt like it was cut short right when you two were getting into the meat of your convo. Sim Card was one of the funniest side characters in Hardy Bucks. I still laugh everytime I see that AA meeting scene.
