Ok jokes aside, Vtubing already existed, albeit it was still a real niche thing back in Japan and the West.

I gotta say, out of all MLP 2010s toy ads, my favorite has to be the one advertising the hot air balloon. I love the opening to it being Applejack, not even voiced by Ashleigh, saying "it's twilight sparkle's balloon!" in the most hideous impression of a cowgirl I have EVER heard, it's so goofy to me. Also nostalgic

Another notable thing about the Equestria girls commercial is that iirc this is the first time DJ PON3 was ever referred to as that in canon

The yellow mouse in the pinkie car commercial was probably the pet that came with the toy- a lot of early mlp toys had generic pets that weren’t anyone’s actual pets come with them, and mice were one of the more common ones

I love how in equestria girls when pinkie said “Bikinis on top” it showed the clip of that weird infestation episode with rainbow dash having a parasprite bikini

You forgot to mention the commercials for the My Little Pony Mare-a-thon they did! After all of the episodes for FIM at the time had aired, the hub aired some of the Generation 3 and G3.5 specials. Pinkie Pie was hosting the Mare-a-thon, and openly acknowledged her G3 self and Rainbow Dash's G3 self as "how they used to look back then." That will forever be my favorite promo from when I was a kid, and I wish they had done it more often with Gen 1 as well, though I think Gen 1 was going through some serious copyright issues at the time. The hub network had some fun personality to their promos, and the little crossover commercials gave off the same energy as a child playing with their toys or actors getting together and hanging out on set. I'm glad I got to experience watching the hub as a kid, and that some of the personality lingered in Discovery Family's early life. If cable TV wasn't dead/dying, I 100% believe that the hub would've stayed and we'd have G5 promos in a similar way now.

There is one Discovery Family MLP promo that you forgot to mention, the final episode, and that might be good.

I can go with “My Biggest Pony” featuring a background pony known as Bon Bon as a monster like King Kong and Godzilla.

The maleficent one actually WAS released on tv, I remember seeing it back in the day and thinking it was super funny.

Was wondering if you'd mention the "Guardians of Harmony" toy commercial that played around the mid to late 2010s. I specifically remember it because they were advertising it like boys action figures, with less a vibe of "My Little Pony! How adorable!" And more of "My Little Pony! Hell yeah!" It was very surreal and out of place for a My Little Pony toy commercial.

I’m still mad that Dragonfire never ended up being a real thing, kid me was devastated upon finding out it was an April Fool’s prank 😔

I hadn’t heard of most of these and I think I am pretty educated in pony lol good job

Since I grew up watching Mlp a lot on TV, I saw a lot of these commercials and advertisements. They still live in my brain and I can easily remember them, especially the ones from the Hub Network's era. It was so fun reminiscing a lot seeing you talk about them.

The hub mlp comercials never aired in my country but i watched them in KZread, i remember loving them even with my bad understanding of english, they were super creative and unique

What I find funny about "My Little Joanie" is "Happy Days" is currently under the ownership of Paramount, which explains why the commercial never aired. Jumping ahead to December 15, 2015 and Paramount and Hasbro officially joined forces to create the Hasbro Cinematic Universe. I always really enjoy the My Little Pony commercials, because there are so many creatives ones, and even though I've watched a bunch of them I still learned about even more here and that's awesome! The spanish one really surprised me, I had no idea it existed. It's basically a collab with a store called Pepeganga. Very strange indeed... Also, I think the Equestria Girls song is still my favorite ad, it's just peak early 2010s.

I dont recall seeing these advertisements in the UK, MLP FIM aired on POP along with other hub shows, CITV as well

Yesss 💞 mlp commercials g4 I grew up with but the g3 and g3.5 ones are adorable I grew up with late g3 to g3.5 and early g4 is still amazes me I still own my g4 toys including pink Celestia so yes I adore my little Pony and definitely barbie life in the dream house for being my childhood and that g4 movie qd I watched in middle school I though it was so cool if I had an account would have asked so questions of how they are planning the festival

You've got to love My Little Pony commercials! I grew up watching The Hub Network and then Discovery Family when the name changed, from 2012 to 2018 and I saw some odd but entertaining commercials during that time. I would rather have odd commercials than boring ones any day!

Funnily enough, the 2017 MLP movie was almost planned to be live action/animated (when the film was still under development at Sony)

Oh god, ADVENTURE PONIES?! dude, THAT WAS MY CHILDHOOD! I could never make it past first boss because I was like…6, but I played it SO obsessively even though I never saw any ads for it I swear, I had an Adobe Flash microchip in my brain I actually thought about playing it again when you mentioned it until you said it’s unavailable now 😭😭😭

These were quite interesting to watch, and I definitely remember watching the train commercial on TV back when I wasn't into MLP and was much younger. Glad to now be a proud fan of MLP since last year, and coming back to seeing a few commercials I do remember watching in the past is really nice.

i have no much nostalgia for the Equestria Girls commercial, i remember back then me and my friends were all excited at the mention of bronies! simpler times... also i can't get over the Game of Thrones one, you're absolutely right that it looks like a fan-made project (i mean that in the most loving way possible!), like it's just so well edited but also such a bizarre concept that i didn't think they'd allow legally. but i'm glad it exists!
