It’s so great to see the love this game’s lore is getting.

Everything with Tancred made me think that he and his brother were a half Human, half Rhogar conjoined twin where they basically represented the struggle between the humanity and Rhogar kind

I can’t get over tancred, I haven’t fought him yet since I’m lost but I’m so excited to finally fight him, he’s so cool. Thank you for this lore video man

I might sort of prefer that this game is trending to a hardcore cult following, though it would be nice if it was due to reasons other than unacceptable performance issues. The real fans are sticking with it despite the YT consensus.

Me to I just found him yesterday well I bought the game last week so that's another reason why I enjoyed the first game never beat it and I absolutely love this one. The hate don't make sense but there's definitely people playing you ask for help someone's there quick or your getting invaded it's just fantastic absolutely love the game. And I'm suprised to see people think the bossess are so hard pieta was a little curve but since then I've beaten 3 very easily first try I just beat the flesh boss so let's see what happens next I'm sure I'm gonna get killed many times at some point lol

Oooooooh YES!! I've been waiting very eagerly for a lore video on tancred! Imo he's the most interesting boss in the entire game and my favorite to fight. Can't wait to learn more about him, I just know this is gonna be a great lore vid.

@@TheLorebrarians Very much so! I expected nothing less from u lorebearian. U did an excellent job and is my favorite to listen to when it comes to lotf lore. The internal struggle tancred had to endure with his brother and his eventual downfall was so tragic. Can't wait for the next lotf lore vid from ya.

It's lore definitely isn't poor, it's maybe not as fleshed out as dark souls lore, it's also somewhat filled with contradictions and for want of a better word, randomness.

Tancred looked so bad ass love the armor and the way he looks. Definitely one of my faves in this game. But there's also alot of great looking characters/armors

It's small, but i like the echo effect on your voice. It feels like I'm being told all this in-universe by a preacher of orius.

Love the lore videos. Hope we get one for Melichor & Durstan (sad fate for the two brothers). Also 13:00 the reason they were beaten to death (at least for Catarin) was cause of their relationship (love) which is forbidden among the hallowed sentinels? Based on the two stigmas of Catarin and Byron. Also when was Byron a lampbearer? We know Catarin was one before the time Byron gave her the pendant and she did die from Tancreds torture but got resurrected by the lamp.

I love his armor, it gives that paladin feeling i love.

Love the darker themes of light in this game. Wasnt a fan of the first one but the characters in this one are on another level. Might even rivale a fromsoft game for me. Big fan of these Lore videos

I loved Tancred and Reinhold's design in the game previews. I was looking forward to reaching Tower of Penance in my playthrough

Imagine being one of the prisoners and just seeing tancred walking towards you while Reinhold is in control and therefore moving/speaking/acting weird and brutal

Tancred is easily the best designed boss in the game. That phase transition is so incredibly memorable.

See, my question is, when we defeat Tancred does he try to kill himself to hopefully kill Reinhold? Or is that Reinhold taking controllijg and killing Tancred to fully takeover?

I think either is a valid interpretation. 1. Tancred's defeat weakens him to the point that he can no longer hold reinhold at bay allowing him to kill tancred out of spite and then attack the lampbearer. 2. Tancred is so fearful of what he views as blasphemy that in a final gambit to destroy the lampbearer he unleashes Reinhold's monstrous nature

Now we need a video about Exactor "Attend me, surgeon! I seek a hole for my skull!" Dunmire. Edit: The background music is always so fitting.

I didn’t read lore items but I totally believed Tancred just had severe bipolar that manifested into a monster lol by far my favorite boss design

A coinjoined twin, one body with two faces, which is evident from Tancred's helm that has two face plates

I was very confused when I fought him for the first time, I thought that he was suffering from bipolar schizophrenia or something.

So that's how their bodies worked. I. Though it was a hulk like thing.

Great, finally story about Tancred, but i don't understand one thing about Hallowed Sentinels, were they actually bad or they were doing bad things because of Adyr's corruption?

They started out good (although how good we don't know), then gradually became far more fanatical (probably a mixture of becoming far more influential and the very nature of Radiant sorcery which uses blood). After that Adyr accelerated the process to the extreme. So while they weren't exactly "good guys" right before the corruption, I'm rather sure that their habit of nailing corpses to walls that we see in the Abbey is a rather recent development.

Judge Cleric was a Tyrant before the rune of Adyr came into her possession.

@@AmonnRa She wasn't. Remember the child in the revelation depths? He was actually brought to Judge Cleric for healing by his parents, but she ended up ordering the deaths of his parents and chaining him in the area we fight Harrower Dervla in. And this is absolutely in line with the sentinels' code since even Pieta approves of it, so it can't be blamed on the rune. Judge cleric was only good if you believe the tales about Adyr being a cruel tyrant before his fall, which even the creative director has been hesitant to confirm. I tried asking Cesar Virtosu, like, four times.

So basically this is just dark fantasy "Malignant" 😂
