What I didn’t like is how people thought about their relationship, giving weird comments such as “are you lovers?” “That’s not how siblings act” I’m sure yena was probably weirded out with such questions and remarks. Thinking about weird things to affectionate siblings is not nice at all.

Thisss. It was making me feel so uncomfortable. I get that the stereotypical sibling relationship that's often portrayed is one where they're always at each other's throats but there are plenty of siblings relationships where they are affectionate with one another and it's completely normal. There are many types of love, not everything is romantic and I hate how people ignore that.

It’s kinda weird that until they give a heart breaking reason the siblings can’t act sweet to each other and every one is confused like asking other host if they act like that with theirs but if they tell a story like this “ahhhh so that’s why” comes out

It was probably scripted as a lead-in to the story. Fans of both (since both siblings are kpop idols) know they are extremely close and don't care. These shows are for old retirees with a conservative mindset, hence those awkward comments.

I’m an older brother who has a struggling sister too; tho not exactly life threatening, life is not easy for her, especially when she was young. She has a serious case of eczema that essentially creates tears, boils, and rashes on her skin, and when she was young, she would scratch herself often, making it worse. When my parents were busy with with their work or were consulting doctors, it was I and our maid then that took care of her. When we let the maid go, I made sure she didn’t scratch herself and could still enjoy her life, even if I had to made myself harsher than I would’ve liked. She got bullied for her skin problem before, so at home, I would leash out to my parents, frustrated at how heartless the bullies were and how blind the parents were, especially knowing I couldn’t do much to help the situation (I was young, so emotional management wasn’t my forte). She’s doing much better now, so things have been much better for my family as of late. I understand Sungmin’s sentiments; we just have this attachment to our struggling sibling and wish we can do what we can to make sure they live a good life. It’s touching to see such great bonds😊

i'm sure you can! i am an elder sister to a younger brother, and we have an 11 year age gap too. initially, our relationship was more of a mother-son type bc i treasured him so much as he was the only son in the family. we have our fights like usual siblings and we get along really well, just like regular few years apart siblings. the larger age gap creates so much more trust i have noticed, bc the younger ones know you are older and wiser and trust you to tell their worries to. i'm the oldest of 5 kids and i feel much closer to my 11 year gap and 8 year gap siblings compared to the 6 year gap siblings.

but at least you're 1 of 5 meanwhile me 1 of 2 lol she's the only sibling i have currently and yes the more the merrier. you have manier comparisons and you also have plenty options to choose better sibling(s) depend on your mood. both her and me feel the similar feelings as the oldest and the youngest ones but the problem is i experienced kinda wrong parental guidances because of my late father so after his passing then my mother took all the responsibilities to make my sister a much better person than me, that's why i asked because at some points she could become any maturer than me and acts more like a noona tho tbh the fact is i'm her oppa lol

totally feel you in that aspect too. lmao choosing better siblings doesn't really sound like an option considering i don't get along with most of them. as for a mature sibling, i have one of those too. she can do basically everything my mum can do and i usually get compared to her bc i don't do as much around the house. but you should always know that even when a younger sibling is maturer, it doesn't always mean they know everything. every now and then your sister might struggle bc obviously she can't do everything and as an older brother maybe approaching her in that moment will mean a lot to her.
