The Story of Nadeshot: The Self-Made Superstar
Ойындар
Matthew "Nadeshot" Haag's meteoric rise to super stardom began in the early days of Call of Duty, but through the trials and tribulations of his life and his unflinching determination, he hustled his way to becoming one of esports' most influential and recognizable figures. This is his story.

This was actually so well done. Feels weird watching him from the very start to where we are now.
Nadeshot was competitive call of duty. No other pro player had the personality and fanbase that nadeshot had. Whatever team he was on even if he would of left optic would be the team that the majority of call of duty fans watched. Nadeshot was the big personality that every competitive fan loved. So even if other teams were better the main focus was on nadeshot because he was so loved. And he held his own against top call of duty pros.

True to an extent but he was not all of competitive COD he helped it a lot and was a very big part of it but to say he was competitive COD would be an insult to the rest. He was ab ig contributor and made comp COD bigger that is fact

This video honestly got me in my feels. I remember being a 12 yearold watching every tournament Nadeshot played in, and all the game clips I could vividly remember watching live as it happend clenching my teeth. Nade will forever be one of my role models , and favorite content creator.
My god am I happy to see the legendary brand of the score still living through this channel you guys are doing amazing job keep up the good work
Been watching Nadeshot since his Optic days (shout-out to anyone who remembers his Morningwood series) and when he was working at McDonald's. It's amazing how far he's come since then like owning an LCS team. I love him because he's such a humble and down-to-earth guy. So happy for you man Great video btw

The production quality on this was so amazing. Every single part was so cohesive.
Can honestly say that I have been waiting for this video to be created for a while and you guys did an amazing job. I know console eSports isn't as respected as PC BUT, Nade really made it what it is today from his hard word and triumph. Great video!
Nadeshot became one of my favorite players after I found him when bo2 came out and now I've just been a fan of him everywhere he goes. Now I'm a 100T fan and I love it. Nadeshot is makin money moves and I'm happy for him.

You guys are really in-depth with these profiles. Thank you and please keep up the great content!
Just saw this video appear on my suggested feed and wanted to check it out, since I’ve been following Nade since around the time he left Optic. It was great to hear his full backstory even though I’ve gotten bits and pieces from his videos this gave me an even greater appreciation for him. I went to my first NA LCS match a few weeks back and met Nade quickly and he really is a chill guy and he’s so humble and you can really see that he cares for his team and his organization as a whole.
I honestly CANNOT wrap my head around the fact that this youtube channel is so low on subscriber count. The content you guys push out is polished to a T and such high quality. More power to theScore esports team seriously, you guys make some great stuff.

It absolutely broke my heart when he was talking about his mother passing, something I wish no child should go through. He is very tough mentally which is not that easy. This video made me respect Nade, dude is clearly a good leader!
I wanted the guy who did “The story of Fallen” to commentate his!!! Still an amazing video I love these!
I’ve probably watched this like 10 times you did an amazing job! For sure make sure you keep doing these!
I've followed the guy for a while, because of him I had grown a bit of interest in the CoD esports scene, and this just expanded more about him. Thanks guys for another great video. Oh, if I could suggest, could you possibly do an episode of 'The Story of' on Fly and n0tail? Best friends and quite often, you won't see them separated when playing a game of Dota 2.
Excellent video, one of the best I've seen regarding this stuff
Wow. I didn’t even know the guy but I’ve got mad respect for him. It was a great video and I really enjoyed it, thanks.
This was great! I loved it.. Brought back some many memories
You really gotta respect nadeshot. He went from optic, one of the best teams at the time, to being the ceo of the current best cod team. He deserves a lot for sticking to his roots even after he left competitive cod. Any true optic fan respects 100T for the pure reason of what nade did for optic.
I can't stop watching theScore esports's videos
Really well made video. Keep up the great work!
I watch one of these everyday man. You all are really outdoing yourselves frfr
It's amazing how nade has became his own org owner. It truly is an inspirational story. dude was just a kid playing video games, who struggled to make money and a living,. to literally being so successful he can create careers and a liiving for people who came from the same background. He will always be a better own/person than Hecs.

do more of this. i freaking love this series!
As someone who lost their mom at a pretty young age aswell that part really got to me and made me tear up a little bit. I learned a lot about nadeshot from this video and my respect towards him just doubled.
Been with him the whole way, my boi
This was done so well. I felt like it was a Real Sports segment on HBO.
Loving this channel's content. You guys are killing it!
Being 22 now, I'm glad I got to grow up coming home from high school and watching Nade's streams. Moments like the Ghost XGame's Gold Medal will forever be in my memory.
Nadeshot truly is a great guy
A little more focus on 100 Thieves and his rise through the adversity of the esports scene to make it as a team CEO is the real story of Nadeshot.
I remember getting my first OG jersey....modeled my first scuf gaming controller after OG. Followed optic for a long time, even the ladies' team. What a great guy, humble and a drive like no other, and now he gets to revel in a team that he created and be a part of other young and upcoming gamers like H3CZ was for him. It truly is a story to behold.
I’ve always heard about nadeshot when I was young, but never really KNOWN about him and his history. This video really captures that history and taught it to me as well as reminisce my childhood with the cod series. I really love the video as well as nadeshot
Man is an inspiration, the pro's in Cod don't respect him enough.
I've never heard of him till now.
i remember following nade when i was in middle school and high school and watching all these cod events... crazy and blessed to see how far he have came! Motivation!
Spectacular video man and nice editing man :]
this video gave me the chills
my favorite player.
As a kid Nadeshot was my first ever you tuber i started watching religiously. Always loved him and im so happy to see that he did so well for himself.
I have been a NADESHOT FAN For many many years and believe that he is a very humble and loving person, and has also created some great content in gaming and his personal life!!!
God loves you all have a blessed one y’all!
Nade is an absolute legend in Esports
This was a road down memory lane im straight tearing up
Great video. Really captured the story!
love this channel good video on COD now how about some profiles on halo2 and halo3 the prime years of MLG for halo.
I went to high school with Matt, and ended up playing a lot of Gears of War with him on gamebattles (started the clan UYC [unplug yo controlla!]). I remember him always asking me how my Guitar Hero gaming was coming along and genuinely being a real nice person. I'll never forget gaming with him before he was Nadeshot and going pro. So incredibly happy for him and the rest of his professional endeavors. Thanks for being a huge part of my gaming past. Nade is the fuckin' man.

Damn this hit the feels being a person who grew up watching nadeshot during his prime and the whole cod scene at its peak
I've only recently been getting into watching some competitive CoD even though I've been playing since 2003. I was just in it to win and have fun with friends. But seeing this now, wow... What really got to me is his story with his mom. How she didn't see it going anywhere and sadly passed away. I just recently lost my mother too. She never got to see me do anything with my life despite believing in me. Part of me wants to prove the world I can do so much... but another part of me is tired. Life hasn't been easy and every year or so something happens. Someone close passes away. It's been one shitty run these past few years. I just hope I get to achieve my dreams like he did. Props to him to sticking to it even when they didn't want him on the team.
Nade left COD at the perfect time. The game was starting to die and he went on to bigger and better things. Crazy to see how much has changed from 2012.
G.O.A.T I wish he still played 😩
What a humble man!! He deserves every success he gets. He's a great role model too
i remember watching Optic play in MLG Anaheim in 2013 and seeing them do well and seeing Nade and Scump. Still one of my best memories
