The Story of My 7 String Guitar
Музыка
My 7 string guitar has a really fun story behind it! Today I wanted to share it again for those who missed it previously and play some riffs :)
I'm wearing a BODA SKINS leather jacket in this video: bodaskins.us.com/products/wom..., thanks to @Bodaskins for sending it out to me!

That clearcoat back sure is worth it. Congrats on that epic trophy!

Thank you! I'm definitely glad I got the clear coat done :)
7 Sting band #1 is Korn. I would probably start with the song "Blind".
Congrats on your winnings! No worries on the broken string… it happens to the best of us. Rock on Rachel! =)
That signature rubbing off would be my first concern. Good call on that clearcoat!
I remember when you got that, I thought it was cool af that you got up there and allowed yourself to have a good time. It definitely wouldn't have been in my comfort zone either so it's inspiring to see people take the chances I wouldn't and for them to pay off. Cool you got the back glossed, it was totally worth whatever it cost. Good stuff! :)

Thanks! Yeah getting the back covered was definitely worth the peace of mind!
The last video I saw was when you got that, I had just got mine. You have such a cool story behind it, it's a very special guitar.
What an amazing story! Congratulations!
The 7 string Electric Guitar is great for Church Gigs because now you can transpose to match the ranges of certain singers.

@@VirtuosityGG Actually Bucky Pizzarelli was known for playing Jazz on a 7 String Guitar, & 7 String Guitars came all the way from Russia.
7 string guitars are awesome the way you show case your guitars is quite inspiring don't be embarrassed for having it, i have an ibanez that has 7 strings as well and i can't use it standing up because its abit heavy so i had to use it while sitting down and honestly im loving it.
yessss play more of the 7 string. I don't think i will ever go back to a 6 string, if I'm being honest. that's a very nice guitar.
I have the same guitar too. It's a beast especially with distorted tones but the clean tones on this guitar are just beautiful
You are always such an inspiration...... keep on being you m'lady. \m/
What an amazing back story on the Ibenez and what a beauty it is. Nice Metallica riff there Rachel ❤️🎸
I actually broke a string yesterday! Always good to see you upload!
That's a great looking and sounding guitar!
Great story and a very nice solution for preserving the signature. That would definitely be a concern to me too.
There's a lot of material for 7 string. I'd suggest even learning songs that are just tuned to B standard or even Drop A. That guitar looks sounds and looks kickass.
Consistency is key. And if it's one thing I've found you consistently acheive in your videos is great string breakage timing! Maybe not constant, but it's consistent. And that's all the universe asks. 😅
What a cool backstory for the guitar. I think Epica might have something for a 7-string (Mark Jansen even plays Ibanez).
When I first started playing guitar again some folks gave some advice that I should start playing again on a Classical guitar. I bought a Cordoba guitar with nylon strings. It sounds great but the E string can break just siting there looking at me. Finally I learned to just loosen all of the strings when I put the guitar up. I do not play it much anymore. I enjoy my electric guitars more. I can barely play six strings so I don't want to try a seven string guitar yet athough I tried a 7 string JP-15 at sweetwater in Indiana. You should go to sweetwater in Indiana you might find it fun.
Hi Rachel! You are such a pleasant person, you can make a day brighter for one and all. You are also one helluva guitarist.

@@RachelfGuitar You’re welcome!
Korn is an amazing band who have 2 guitarists who play 7 string Ibanez guitars
Amo tus videos, saludos desde Colombia 🇨🇴
One of my favorite 7-string riffs is Replica by Fear Factory. Killer to play and easy to learn too. Highly recommend it :)
Nita is amazing! The low B or A on a seven are cool but the necks on 7 strings are too wide for my petite child like hands even though I like an 11/16" nut width on six strings
Here’s some fun seven string riffs I recommend: Korn - Here To Stay (A Standard) Fear Factory - Linchpin (A Standard) Slaughter To Prevail - Bratva (Drop A) Whitechapel - The Ones That Made Us (Drop G) Adema - Unstable (A# Standard) Flaw - Get Up Again (B Standard) 🤘🏻😝🤘🏻

Thanks for the recommendations! 🤘
When I saw Delain, Sonata Arctica, and Nightwish on tour together back in 2017 or so, I noticed that both Delain's and Sonata Arctica's guitarists were using 7 strings. You don't really need a 7 for those songs; most of it can be done on a detuned 6. In my last band (a country band), we were looking at learning some songs with some really low guitar parts. Usually those are played on 6 string guitars tuned down, but they sound great on a 7 too, and then you still have all the high notes. My favorite 7-string guitarist is Charlie Hunter, but NOTHING he plays is easy!
so good
Pretty cool RIFFAGE. That's a killer guitar Ibanez has flat necks they're good for shredding and playing metal. You wanted to play seven string I suggest playing some Korn or Meshuggah. Possibly a little bit of periphery with Misha Mansoor! Sure you will dig those bands... Keep up the good work sounds like you're on your way....🎉

A lot of KZread guitarists bought 7 strings back then, but I've noticed most don't play them anymore; and the ones who do, use them about once a year. 😏 Also, there was absolutely nothing embarrassing about your air guitar-ing. 🙌🙌🙌
Hey do you have a floyd rose 6-string guitar? I would like a video about floyd rose guitars 👍🏼😌
This guitar ibanez of 7 string is very good i like much the green play songs of bands of rock in guitar of 7 string🤩❤🤩 you playing amazing rachel❤🤩
I always admire Ibanez guitars when I see them. That's a sweet looking and sounding guitar. 🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸

@@RachelfGuitar I don't own an Ibanez, but someday I'll have to remedy that. 🤘
Snap! Instant baritone tuning! For some incredible 7-string guitar music, please checkout the band Nevermore - I recommend their album "Dead Heart in a Dead World" or "Enemies of Reality." Jeff Loomis is currently the co-guitarist for Arch Enemy.
Arch Enemy, Jeff Loomis, Dream Theater, John Petrucci Those 2 bands have some great 7 string licks. By the way, I love the Ibanez S behind Rachelf. Got one in my lap right now. Oh and Jinjer !!!!! Check them out.
Down from the Sky by Trivium is one of my favorite 7 string songs
Replica by fear factory.
❤❤❤❤
You should play that beauty more often, you can really rock it! 😊🥰😜🖖🤟👌🎸🎸🎵
Great prize
Paradise Lost, korn and Fear Factory use 7 string, hard to just pick a song lol
Was that first riff "are you dead yet" by Children of Bodom?
