We last left off Lebron's case for GOAT two years ago, as he was joining the Los Angeles Lakers.
He's now won his 4th title and is presumably still counting, lets see where things stand as this is an open case.

I'll say that he's good at defensive adjustments. Offense on the other hand, that goes to James, AD, and Rondo. With those three on the team, you don't really need to coach for offense.

Frank Vogel was always a very good coach. Unfortunately his Pacers ran into the star-studded Miami Heat...and Spoelstra is a damn great coach himself. You're one of the few that has acknowledged it though. I just watched buddy from Speak for Yourself try to downplay Frank Vogel (and Spoelstra) as a coach because he had LeBron.

2017 should've been closer if he's the goat. I feel like Cavs fans/warrior haters constantly bring up 2015 injuries and 3-1 choke to down play how good the warriors were in order to make their first championship a fluke. But at the same time complain how overpowered they are with KD. I won't be deluded and say that they were equal, just that if Bron is the goat, that series shoulve gone to at least 6 games if not 7. Like how the hell does the rockets take the warriors to 7 but not the Cavs? Their roster was much better in17 than 18. I agree that 2018 was complete underdog story, but I think that's a combination of the weak talent in the east compared to the west AND lebrons greatness. I dont think it a black or white. Just that lebron has beniftted being a big fish in a small pond

But if you concede that, then you take awaamy Brons biggest accomplishment of going to the finals year in and out. Give this man his damn respect simple. I love Lebron because I grew up on him. He literally started his career less than a month after I was born and that’s probably a reason why I love him so much. As a 9 year old i was captivated and amazed at how Kobe faded away. Kobe made me fall in love with basketball, he is the reason i have fun anytime i step onto a court. Kobe is the reason i don't throw pieces of paper away like most people. His fadeaway left me with thoughts at the time that this guy could get a bucket whenever he wanted. I know this exactly how MJ was to everyone "bucket whenever he wants". Kobe to me seemed like he could will himself and manifest a jumper no matter the defense like a super hero. At 9 years old that is what it felt like, watching a super hero. He was one to me. I remember watching the 2010 playoffs and then its end against the Celtics with my dad. My dad died when i was 12, looking back i doubt he even cared about basketball i think he just liked it cause i did. I would play in school and my fifth grade teacher was a Laker fan. This Championship is so crazy to me. The Lakers did it for Kobe. Watching LeBron is also pretty much watching what seems like a super hero on the court, he too can just will himself to the points and to win. They are both genuinely inspiring, I'm from Cali i talk to a lot of Laker fans, honestly the ones who dont like Lebron always seem bitter and just weird bro. The "fans" that sent Danny green and his fiancé death threats are disgusting and beyond toxic, also they are stupid as fuck, we were up 3 to 1, it was a normal shot it just did not go down, even steph curry has missed in the nba finals children, cause thats what they act like man like little ass kids. There is this false narrative on twitter under like 90 percent of the recent content that this is a "mickey mouse ring", skip (fuk skip) too said Cubic zirconia ring. When objectively, a lot of players have said that that shit was hard. There is no asterisk. Bron has been outright crazy and i hope the lakers do something interesting this offseason so we have a better chance at a repeat , they gotta do something fasho the warriors and nets are there. And i just want to say i actually like all 3 of those goats. love these kinds of vids dom they smack.

No. I'm glad the Nuggets shut that down. They let everyone know what time it was: they beat the media's favourites 4-3 in _another_ comeback from 3-1, only to be defeated 4-1 by the Lakers. Nobody expected Denver to succeed after dropping so many games, so when they did it's like: "if the Lakers beat Denver 4-1, but the Clippers choked a 3-1 lead, what chance would the Clippers have _really_ had?"

Prediction about LeBron James: After winning his first championship in LA, he'll make 3 straight nba finals appearances (he'll at least make it to the western conference finals each year) He might win 1 or 2 nba finals from 2021-23 even if he may have been carried to them at age 38. Then for the 2023-24 season, he will rejoin the Cavaliers for one last ride at age 39. After a few years of being a lottery team, the Cavs have lots of young talent but can't capitalize on it. The cavs again find themselves with a lottery pick in the 2023 draft, and after the NBA lifts the one-and-done rule, Cleveland selects LeBron James Jr. and pairs him with his dad. The Cavs make a few trades for veterans and turn themselves into a championship contender. After a bunch of questionable calls, the Cavs end up back in the finals and end up winning a ring as LeBron Sr. fades into the sunset. After this, LeBron Sr. retires and becomes a successful Hollywood actor. Time passes and after James disapproves of the Kanye administration, he throws his hat into the ring for the 2032 Presidential election. James wins in a landslide and becomes the 47th president of the United States overtaking Abraham Lincolns record of tallest president at 6'4".

D S first off, that heat team was legit. They dominated the eastern competition including the favorites to win the championship the bucks. They still had bam, an all star and one if the best defensive players, and jimmy butler a superstar along with other good role players. Lebron had a minor injury, ad also had one, and we were missing our 3rd best player Avery Bradley. So it was even on both sides. What makes it so impressive is the circumstances. Playing in the Bubble, seperate from family for months, players reported getting depression, and other people who were actually in the bubble talking about how tough it was. On top of all that, he dominated the hardest conference. He faced multiple all stars and mvps on his path all while dominating the entire time. That’s what makes this accomplishment so impressive. Not to mention the first to win fmvp on 3 different teams. That’s why a lot of people said he’s the goat. Worst case, they have him top 2. Even Paul pierce had him top 2.

The defense schemes have also changed drastically in order to defend the perimeter since a lot of players nowadays know how to shoot a 3. I just hate when people said that MJ played in a tougher and better era, the game is clearly harder nowadays, if you really like seeing players throwing hands with each other because they're "tough" then go watch the UFC lol

MJ is the GOAT to me, but people who act like MJ would have been 10-0 if he and Lebron swapped places is beyond mind boggling. Its all theoretical, so nothing is for certain but I believe that most sensible people can agree that if MJ were in Lebron’s shoes the only result that MJ would have changed was against the Mavs in 2011. MJ wouldnt have beaten any other teams that Lebron has faced. He would be 5-5 MAYBE 6-4 AT BEST. So for people to act like theres this HUGE gap between MJ and everyone else is ridiculous. Does that diminish MJ’s greatness? Hell i think if he was 6-4 instead of 6-0 I think 6-4 is MORE impressive. Is 6-0 in the finals an impressive feat? No doubt. But should that be the end all and be all argument to be used to minimize Lebron’s accomplishment? No.

@BIGmonkeys 23 isn't lebron third in all time season scoring and number one in all time playoff scoring at the moment? so you can say he gets number 2 in all time season scoring next season and maybe number 1 the season after. If he gets a MVP and another ring I would confirm him as GOAT. But that's me personally people have different requirements no matter how unrealistic.

Biblical If you factor the fact Lebron entered the league at 17yrs and MJ 22yrs old you can see that Lebron already has an advantage in filling the stats column. In addition you have to factor the season where Jordan broke his foot. Finally the two seasons he decided to go play baseball. So What! Is than an excuse! No... it’ merely facts coming from a Warriors fan that lived through the MJ hype during the 80s and 90s.

Lebron is, longevity wise, the goat. I don't thin there's ,uch disputing that unless you're really into Kareem. He's been the best player in the nba for longer than anybody ever. I don't like using mvps and championships to rank players because htey're dependant on team circumstance and team mates, but just based on level of play, Lebron has been at the highest level for the longest, and has an argument for the greatest peak, probably behind MJ and in the same tier as Shaq. A once in a liftetime athelte.
