I Just Recall Reading This Essence Or Ebony Paper Magazine Jill Scott Article And While They Were Walking Some Guy In Phili Said Something Foul To Her And She Cussed Him Out-In The Article. How Many Black Women, Women Period Have Just Been Walking Down The Street And Disrespected? I Know I Have. Thank You Jill.

Sista-girl reminds me of that next door neighbor that knocks on your door early in the morning wanting to borrow a cup of sugar for some coffee. Next thing you know, she is sitting at the kitchen table with you while you put on the pot of coffee, cut up some fresh fruit or make some toast. After chit-chatting for over an hour, you both realize that you have lost track of time because you've have so much fun just talking...and bonding a sistas tend to do. Lol!..

Black children born in the Late 90's to single moms espescially boys know Jill Scott and India Arie very well.

Kola Soljet, thank you for replying to my message. Philadelphia is an amazing place, I could share some recommended spots to go to get grounded. If you have children. I would recommend Smith Playground off of 33rd and Oxford that is tucked away behind a gulf course in the park. In 1989 when I first discovered this place. It was a safe haven for me as a single parent. They had a pool back then, but when I last revisited it with my grandchildren. It’s no longer there. That being said, another gem of mines is Valley green, it’s off of Lincoln drive tucked away behind the trees and a lake. There so much more about North Philadelphia. Try taller Puertorriqueno, for history on Latin culture of North PHILLY. My daughter are of mixed race and this was a plus for me to help groom them into being comfortable in the skin there in as Black/Latina women. There so much more, Fairmount Park, the food trucks, etc. it’s a hidden gem. Best wishes on your exploration of all areas of Pennsylvania. Don’t forget the history of the first Negro league of Baseball players in Pittsburgh Hill district.

Such a sweet spirit and so soulful. I fell in love with her and her style immediately. My son was has Autism and when he was a few years old he would sing "Is it the way you love me baby" this was amazing because we could barely get him to say anything. Hubby & I saved up to see her in AZ and missed the concert. It was a horrible trip so fast forward to today and we are will to save out of our little funds to go see her. We love her and her really good music. Jill, please come to Seattle, WA so we don't have to buy plane tickets, hotel, rental car, etc. Hubby is a Veteran, I'm on disability & we're raising our 17 yr. old granddaughter (draining us). We really need you to come up to the PNW (Pacific NW).

I can see the pain all in her face, it's familiar. It's familiar cause she's the female incarnation of me. I understand that she need someone, not just anyone but someone who truly feel her feels. I found and bought the set and somebody stole my car so I bought another set that I'm still bumpin' right now. 😁😁 My favorite phrase from her music is "If you want to make a change in this world and your life, start by looking in the mirror." Priceless advice.

On the bra thing, I feel you. l ended up getting a reduction which was a relief. I'll be looking for your bras. Hope I can afford one.
