The Story of Barrington Levy | Why He Quit Music For 21 Years

The amazing Barrington Levy is not only one of the greatest voices in reggae and dancehall history but also one of the most consistent of his generation. After three decades at the top of this game he left the music industry for more than two decades to preserve his artistic integrity

Everybody loves Barrington Levy. The lady who encouraged him when he was a child deserves her props, she is an example of why we have to encourage the youngsters, always.

The cut- throat music industry has stifled so many of our artists' creativity and robbed them. I'm just glad that this legend is still living his best life. So many others have not done well at all.

People, hear Rasta! Ras Kizaro is mi bredder forever, miracles come from this mon. Today I'm broke, waiting at least 2 more days for my money. I had about $5 worth of recycles but decided to do the 10 mile walk. As I noticed this new video come out, I noticed a ball park. Now I have at least $15 and can now have lunch and dinner lol, nah I have food but can get valuable supplies. So thank you again Ras Kizaro and your latest Miracle and bless all RAS subscribers as well as Barrington Levi and his friends, forIver🦁❤️💛💚💯🎉

Your pronunciation of 'Levy' sounds more French than English. In Jamaica we say 'LEE-vee'. A very historical name, usually indicating 'black' Shephardic Jew (Israelite/ Hebrew) ancestry, coming from the tribe of Levi who were recorded in the Old Testament of the Bible as descendant from the lineage of Jacob (Yakob, later called IsRaEl). The Levite tribe performed spiritual leadership duties to their nation as priests and musicians. A people whose presence remains among Jamaicans and several other populations in the Americas, Africa, Europe and Asia to this day. The full story has not yet been told due to 'paper genocide' and whitewashing, especially by Ashke-Nazis, but it will all come to light. Barrington Levy is the typical, original true colour of that ancient tribe and the tribe of Judah. What a powerful signature voice Barrington Levy has, like a trumpet announcing his presence and message. His recognition is well deserved.

@@denniswray2055 I do not know for sure where RAS' presenter is from. If he is African, then great. I certainly prefer his voice to AI. My message is for whoever is interested. If you are not, that's perfectly fine. Other people may have the time.

There's always a comment about "pronunciation." It's high time for those pronunciation purists to give the narrator a break. We all love Reggae music, but we are not all Jamaicans.
