No it isn't, in India too,cows are constantly made pregnant because India is the largest producer of milk, and the outcome of pregnancy if it a male calf it is directly sent to slaughter house. Also, when the cow gets old they are sent to slaughter houses, since India is one of the largest exporter of beef in the world. Diary industry and farmers don't show us the truth

Just think Why India is the top exporter of beef? and What happens to old cows who don't give milk and the bulls who can't give milk. What is the rate of cows pregnancy and birth because cows need to be continuous pregnancy one after one child for giving milk. and what is rate of cows in your ashrama and birth rate of them. Not all of them, we have relatives in villages of Haryana, no cow there is abandoned or sold to slaughterhouses or to anyone when they get old, they're taken good care of in their last days, fed properly, washed and are provided with necessary items, are massaged and given lots of things. They respect the companion which kept them company app these years, did work and helped them. They take care of the animal whether a cow or a bull until its death. After death, holes are dug, they are kept inside and holes are closed. Not everyone is stonehearted. I love the fact they still treat them so nicely even if they won't be able to work anymore.
