Kedar and Samita are going to celebrate third marriage anniversary in few months. They met in 2016 when Kedar was working as an actor and camera person while Samita was student. They had occasional talk through FB as friends but eventually many years later it was Samita’s eldest sister who requested Kedar if he wanted to marry Samita. So after dating for birf period of 6 7 months they married. Mind you in Nepali villages people tend to focus towards marriage rather than dating since it is still a new concept. Maybe in City area these days dating for elaborate time length is considered a norm but in villages it is still not familiar concept. All the best to my fav couple. 🙏

This is for those people who been complaining about subtitles and English language I will give u a brief translation. He was working as an actor, cameraman and editor in Kathmandu. He met Deewaz Rai Kiraatee and started working for him as a cameraman and Editor for Rural Nepal Quest. As he had played in some shows, so people of Pankhang village knew him well. He says Samita was studying in 8th grade when he first met her. She is 10 yrs younger to him in age.They met during the 'Maiyung Hill' festival but since she was very young at that time, he didn't care much about her. Also she used to call him 'mama' which means uncle (mother's brother). Its because Deewaz is Samita's 'mama' and so since Kedar was his friend so she called him'mama' too Samita's elder sister Mamita played a big role in bringing them together so he is thanking her for that. It was Mamita who first asked him if he wants to be her brother-in-law. Maybe because she liked his nature, his personality and wanted him to marry her sister. But Kedar and Samita were never serious about it. Samita was very shy and hardly talked to him at that time. He said it was during covid lockdown that he went to Bhojpur, Pangkhang to shoot the RNQ videos and Surya Rai was his assistant cameramen at that time and he called Kedar 'dai' (older brother) but after marriage, Surya became Kedar's Jethu(wife's older brother), since Surya and Samita's mothers are real sisters. He says that they never had a long courtship and they never went on a proper date. They only met while they were shooting in the sheep shelter. There was a Sakela festival in his own village in Khotang and he asked Samita to go with him to see the festival but people in the village started gossiping that he has brought a girl in the village. So Samita's family insisted they get married soon to stop people from gossiping. So Kedar's Dipa went to Samita's village to ask for her hand in marriage for his nephew. And they got married in a simple ceremony. It will be 3 yrs this August-september. He said that he worked for RNQ channel for around 2 yrs and had to stay in Pankhang village to shoot the video, but some viewers started commenting why he stays at his in-laws village all the time and why he never goes to his own village, So he came to his own village in Khotang. That's the gist of what he said. I hope it satisfied ur curiosity. Shout out to @shushiG2022
