War time in Bosnia this track saved my life (but it's a long story) In that time thoght I was the bigest fan of Dune so I even presented it to my friends... I also played it on local radio named Slon many times... b.r. from Tuzla BiH ❤

My story is not about Hardcore Vibes, but for Can't Stop Raving. I'm from Belarus and in the late 90s we had VIVA channel in our cable network. Much loved all Eurodance/Trance stuff there, but german hardcore like Dune, Marusha, Mark Oh sounded totally from another world. So when I first saw there a video for Can't Stop Raving from the first second I was sure that I will hear another masterpiece. But the main thing for me happened in the last seconds of it, when Oliver showed in the camera his watch with turned on backlight. At that time I had some kind of these watches with the same blue backlight and was so impressed of it that every time went to the darker places to turn it on and look at it. And always showed everybody this feature. So you can imagine the reaction of a teenager who saw on TV a guy from one of his fauvourite bands, doing the same weird things :D

Oliver lives around my neighborhood here in Münster and I bumped into him at the Docklands Festival last month. Always nice to meet him and his wife. ;-)

Well, I have been a fan of Dune ever since the project existed. If there's a chance of winning any merchandise, count me in! ;)

I’m from Denmark, and the radio stations here don’t play music like that. Back in the day, we had to go to Street Dance Records in Copenhagen to buy records. In the summer, if the weather conditions were good, I could listen to N’Joy Radio from Germany, and that’s where I learned about Dune, RMB and many otters. Thank you for doing this interview - it’s always like a time machine and very emotional to be sent back in time. One thing I would love to have asked him about was: What was up with the classical record “Forever” that Dune suddenly made? It was SO different from their other stuff. “One Moment” is still one of my favorite piano tracks of all time.

With 6 original cd-singles from the '95-'96 era I can tell you that I am a huge fan of Dune. Love the remixes that were on the cd's. An autographed version of "Hardcore Vibes" would make it prefect. (I can swap you the unautographed one I have at home 😇). Best voice of Dune was Verena von Strenge. Keep up the good work and I am looking forward to the "Can't stop Raving" interview.

Awesome interview, and such a nice guy! My entry for winning the CD: when the song was released, it was an instant favourite of me and one of my best friends. Recently, we had a party in some friend’s garden. This song was also included in the playlist. The moment my son (at that point 10 years old) heard the song, he fell in love with it. For months after the party, he played the song on a regular basis. For me, it was just great to see the same thing happening to him as what happened to me all these years ago. A great memory to a truly epic song for both father and son. ❤

Classic track

Ive grown up in Poland in the 90s. No satellite radio or internet access. I remember hearing this track or watching music video (dont remember) for the very first time. I wasnt aware of the this genre (hardcore) apart from the music that was showcase in the public mainstream tv. It was like teleporting to another planet, music so different from from i already heard. The melody was so simple yet so catchy it got stuck in my head for a long time. Im 41y old now. Please let me have this CD. I miss those days. Need to go back to my lovely 90s. Cheers m8

When I first heard this track as a child, it truly captivated me. But as the years went by, its magic only grew stronger. 'Can't Stop Raving' holds a special place in my heart as an iconic song that defined an era for me. It's undoubtedly one of the best dance tracks ever created, standing the test of time effortlessly. I can't help but mention other Dune classics like 'Million Miles' and 'Are You Ready to Fly' that further solidified my fandom. I'm forever grateful for the incredible music Dune has gifted us. So yes i'm a great fan and absolutely forever grateful for the incredible music he has gifted us!

What a great guy

Oh how I still love Hardcore Vibes nearly 30 years on. Used to spin it alot at the local club. A few copies got stolen over the years so I bought the 12" numerous times, and later on both CD maxis as well. Good Vibes Mix always was and still is my most played version.

First time i heard this was here in the north of England on a rave tape which was borrowed (stolen) by some mate lol and never heard it again untill i was old enough to rave few years later and to hear it live was absolutely amazing and hearing all the ravers sing a long to it classic track great memories big respect for this interview

I have to win this CD because Dune was one of my favorites bands back in the days in the'90s during highschool. I can't stop raving is one if the best rave/ happy hardcore anthems.

Loved finding a new dune cd back then.

Already loved these kinda sounds as a little kid in the 90s and later I was finding more and more tracks that hold that atmosphere. So it's almost like this magical time travel to have these interviews and to hear the stories behind it! So thank you Musixpress for your work! Also it would be great to get the record, because actually it reminds me of my first date two years ago with my now life partner. It was so funny and unique someone else having such a music taste in a small town in Germany. it will be a long story so please be patient❤ the first time i heard "hardcore vibes"on mtv i was shoked! it was so cool and amazing! ive started to listen to it many many times. i needed more music from dune more info on the producers of this track and i loved every sound that came from dune. after a couple of years oliver and verena did an interview on simon angel's mtv dance program they so catched my heart and i'm happy to see that 30 years later, oliver stayed the same person, humble and a little bit shy and a great musician, thanks for a great interview❤

Awesome interview! I'd really like that CD! In 1996 when I was 14, I made a simple tune on my keyboard wich I later performed at my school on my keyboard. A while later when I got internet, probably 1999, I heard the song Hardcore Vibes and it had the exact same chord progression and even the same arpeggio (the ding ding ding) on the two first chords as my song. It's possible I had somehow heard the song before, but I was really taken by surprize and couldn't understand how similiar it was. From that day I loved Dune!

Great interview, I like when artists talk about the videoclips and the hardcore vibes clip is beautiful. I can't wait for the "I can't stop raving" interview. Yes, I would to win the CD, I'm a cd colector, I own about 60 cd singles, everything bought in the 90s. Unfortunatelly I had never got the chance to have Dune cd in my country Brazil. 1995 was the first year I started to play as a dj and Hardcore Vibes was one of my favorite tracks to play :-) It was fitting as a misfit to the playlist but I push it through every time I can. Great one and happy to watch this video. Not sure I deserve a sign copy for that but worth to give it a try 😊

Why is should win this copy, really no idea ... i'm not a person who will say, i diserve something. But to bad, you listed a couple of hits of dune, but mine favorite, after hardcore vibes is: Dune - Who Wants To Live Forever (South Bound Remix).

From this interview, it sounds like his partner Jens Oettrich did most of the actual production work.

There was something odd about this track - it was published on rave compilations under different aliases like June or Brunee. What was that all about?

Those versions were done by different people, most likely they couldn’t get the rights to get the original on the compilation so they made a lame cover version 😉 Definitely not the same version as the one from Dune.
