    He deserves a sponsor. How many factory team riders did he finish ahead of? There are 24 factory spots in 250 & 450 motocross I think maybe a few less maybe a few more. Finishing in the top 10 on a stock 450 is ridiculous and if he does not get a Factory ride then the factories need to get rid of someone to make a spot for this kid.

    Did he say that a factory 450 is 250k?

  • @socmonki

    @socmonki

    8 ай бұрын

    250. That's why he moved up to the 450s, because a factory 250 is so much faster than a near stock privateer bike. I don't know how true that is, but most of that cost is in the engine I'd expect. Suspension is A-kit stuff that anyone can buy (for 10k). Anyone can get titanium bolts and carbon fiber bits. Factories have so much more money for engine development and of course spare engines, because you know they're running the small bikes as far to the edge as possible, and they get rebuilt every week. Privateers can't do that, even if they have an engine pushing the limits. Sure, you can have an engine built by pro-circuit or whoever, but it will still be conservative compared to the factories.

    @@socmonki now you know why there was such an uproar about Deegans 250 "STOCK" bike being claimed at Lorretta's .🤔

  • @socmonki

    @socmonki

    @@DRU1421 I never had a question about the uproar. I know they didn't give Deegan a worked over stock bike. He's their child prodigy, and they're going to give every advantage they can to him. They didn't expect anyone to make a claim. When they did, they freaked out. Lost a LOT of respect for the Deegans when that happened. Lot of respect for Yamaha too. But, that's racing. Cutthroat.

    @@socmonki I guess the saying "rules are rules" only apply to the select few.Not saying his bike was worth 250k but there sure must of been some top tech they didnt want to give up for 17k.lol..To be honest i think he of won on stock yam 250 of the showroom floor anyways,maybe just little suspension help is all.that kid rips no matter what hes on.

  • @socmonki

    @socmonki

    8 ай бұрын

    @@DRU1421 I don't think it was worth 250k either. 75k maybe? I think Ty's valuing was off, or the factories overinflate the worth of the bikes. Or nickle and dime all the little things like frame strengthening, tweaks to geometry or the rider triangle here or there. Could Deegan win on a bone stock bike with suspension? Probably, he has the talent. He'd be working hard though if he was against full race motors that are putting out ~55 HP. Stock is what, 43? That's a huge deficit to overcome. Against something like a mildly massaged 250f? Sure, I'd bet on Deegan.

    To everyone saying he deserved a factory ride, you ain’t getting one because you top fived a few times in a weak ass field outdoors 😂 mfs think they just go around handing out factory rides. N it’s not like he’s never had a shot, he was on star n refused to do SX because of his brother which is fair enough but I bet he wishes he started a bit earlier. There’s also rumours they’re tough to work with, like things there way etc so they might suit a program that’s dedicated to him, who knows

    The real story behind this piece is What's Wrong With Kawi? They lost Sho Jimoda. They're not picking up this obviously WORTHY RIDER. They got rid of talent that Ricky Carmichael just hired with Triumph-Jeremy Savatgy. But cant find a place for a stock Kawi rider whose killing it? There is some managment problems at Kawi, IMO.

    I love JS7. I have so much respect for him and what he’s done. With that said… Js7 is smoking crack if he think TY Masterpool’s bike is even on the same playing field as any factory program on any track. Factory teams have multiple people on payroll rides are contracted 6 figures + and an unlimited credit card for any part and also They have 7 of every part you can’t buy. With all those resources if you can’t beat a privateer coming off injury’s on a stock bike that’s worth max 15k. That privateer is a better rider then period. JS7 stole a bit of Masterpool’s Cinderella story with his comments regarding the motorcycle. Although he’s a goat. I couldn’t disagree more
