The part at 2:07 with the bells transitioning into the sound effect used in the show is used in such a genius way. It just snaps you back from the increasingly choking horror to the show and that sudden transition from unfamiliar torture to a familiar sound typically followed by joyful emotions is absolutely brilliant, I can't help but admire it over and over

Given that family feud has been running since 1976 I feel like these bell creatures are all the forgotten past contenders that have been forsaken for losing. The creatures have some vain hopes that they can reappear on the show and redeem themselves hence the "Steve, look at me part" but this cannot be done.

Man, the giant bell thing was just so cool. I love the blend of humor, charm, and absolute monstrosities you make on this channel.

Steve's stare feels like he's in his own limbo and he knows it, and he's not scared, he's in pure awe and shock. As if he had already experienced the same scenario a thousand times and can only be even more surprised each time.

Why does this hit home so hard?

I don’t know what it is, but something about an absolutely massive bell with striker moving is so creepy to me. Also the huge chains going into the darkness of the bell is eerie too. It’s not even the faces on the bell, or the legs and arms coming out of it, or the fact that it’s “alive”, if there was a bell that size irl it would have the same effect on me.

Your comment reminds me a lot of how I love when horror creatures or villains can’t be explained. Like we don’t know where they came from, why they do what they do, what their backstory is because it’s completely out of our realm or comprehension. Makes it even more terrifying and ominous !

I love how they used the ringing sound at the end to get him out of the weird hallucination he was in. Very creative.

I see it more as an instant captured in the mind. The bells he's hearing is the sound of the iconic ring, calling him to look. "Look at me, Steve." The bell was his hallucination.
