14:08 I’m sure y’all already know but just incase and for everybody else: the dancing sequence was all hand drawn and done by Myoun. according to him, the staff suggested to use 3D or Mocap for assistance but he denied it and hand drew each and every frame just by watching reference videos. Yall should see the genga for this sequence very beautiful.

Just for anyone, like myself, not familiar with the term, "genga" means key frames.

CGI would be someone actively animating 3D models and effects (not exclusive to 3D but usually how it’s used). The scene itself was completely hand drawn. in other cases people would “rotoscope” these movements, meaning tracing over live action footage and movements. However the animator who worked on this scene just opted to draw the entire thing themselves and make it look really good

Stark, Frieren and Fern are the absolute best trio. Also I used to work at a dementia care facility and there's a thing called "Sundowning" where people with dementia start acting a certain way when it comes to the evening. That is what I thought happened with Old Man Voll. Just my realism talking lol
