A classic mix of offense & defense. A true powerhouse, the 04’ team just didn’t have enough behind a rookie Ben to get to the big show. A year later, he fulfilled his promise to Jerome Bettis & got him a ring. Hines mocking TO, twice.. has to be one of my all time favorite moments. If you haven’t subscribed, join in on the ride! It’s going to be a great year! 🖤💛

2004 will always bother me as a Steelers fan. Yes, Ben started playing like a rookie down the stretch but he was still making plays. The 2004 Steelers were the best team in the NFL and they had a rookie QB. They had the number 1 ranked defense and a dominant running game. They beat back to back undefeated teams at mid season and decisively so. They were 15-1 with zero losses with Ben at QB (13-0) Spygate is the reason it ended and Goodell admitted to Arlin Specter that the Halloween Steelers Pats game was one of the many tapes and notes confiscated from Belichick. NE that year wouldn't have won the AFC title game if not for jumping out early off of the knowledge of the defensive signals.
