━━ About VISITFLANDERS ━━━━━━━━
As a Flemish government agency that is strategy and knowledge-driven, VISITFLANDERS is committed to the sustainable development and promotion of Flanders as a top tourist destination. We don’t do this by ourselves. Together with our tourism partners, we work to allow Flanders to flourish as an innovative, high-quality travel destination and to inspire potential visitors to put the region at the top of their bucket lists. Our ultimate goal? Using tourism to help Flanders flourish as a destination! We do so both for our residents and entrepreneurs and for you, our visitors. We pay special attention to sustainability, accessibility and family-friendliness.
We focus on the intense experience of a place, a destination. This can involve meaningful encounters, specific activities or a sustainable travel formula. Instead of concentrating on a specific city or region, we develop broader Flemish narratives based on interdependent themes. Wherever possible, we combine these themes to further strengthen people’s experience. Welcome to Flanders!

This was a treat - thank you to all concerned. The close ups really added a lot, and what a pleasure to have a narrator so unpretentious yet so knowledgeable. Grisaille work was incredible - almost made sculpture redundant! The exhibition is a great reminder that the Italians weren't having it all their own way in the first half of he 1400s.

Thank-you. I have only seen a few paintings by Van Eyck. I have seen none of these. It was possible for me to stare into Van Eyck's paintings for sometimes as long a an hour and get a feel for life during feudal epoch. Van Eyck has been one of my favourite painters of all time and I thank-you again for allowing me and others to view his work, truly the work of an artistic master.

I would never gave had the opportunity to visit this exhibition and I knew very little about the work of Van Eyk. I am blown away by the beauty of some of these paintings. I suppose it is a frivolous thing - but the depiction of the textiles and jewels is exquisite. I particularly loved the angel with the rainbow wings - it is not only the little girls of the 21st Century who love rainbow wings!
