Thank you Harold Reid for the great bass. May you Rest In Peace and thank you for the memories.
RIP Harold Reid. The Statler Brothers' Bass singer has died April 24, 2020 at the age of 80 after battling Kidney Disease. He joins fellow statler Brother, Original Tenor Lew DeWitt to sing Duets above his fellow singers.
Classic country is the only country music. This stuff nowadays is a disgrace to us old country boys. Statler brothers was my pappaws fav. We listened to them every sunday heading to church

Colton heibert every generation of music has had people say that. They said it about Johnny Cash and Patsy Cline too.. they weren’t “country” Country music has always been an evolving genre and the Statlers helped shape many of today’s artists. I seriously doubt the Statlers would appreciate you bringing down other artists to raise them up

My grandmother introduced me to these guys and I still remember riding in her PT Cruiser to go bowling and we played this song on CD. Very vivid memories of my childhood.

yep...Johnny discovered them and they started touring with him and the Tennessee 3 back in the mid sixties....then they recorded and released their all time number 1 song, "Flowers on the Wall"....later on they performed with Johnny and June in the epic performance at Folsom Prison....their accompinament with Johnny and June on "Peace in the Valley" is classic....afterwards they often appeared on Johnny's TV show on ABC....legends!
I Agree!!! Harold Reid I got to see you in Pittsburgh with the Statlers! We will miss you!!!!!

The Statlers singing this was the only memorable part of Smokey and the Bandit 2...........sadly, country music will never sound this good again!
Love the song; the visuals here are horrible
Revolting shit sound at the end needs to disappear. Attn uploader.... get rid of it.
