When should you be trying a change in start position? During the warmup reps? Before the working loads? Or at the working loads? Or even with an empty bar?

If there is a change you believe would help you then you want to make that change at the start of the training day. Typically changes to the start are easiest having light weight on the bar using full size bumpers. This allows the bar to be in the correct spot at the shin vs an empty bar and guessing while also trying to think about your change. Then try your change out for the full session. Keep in mind though it can take a while to see benefit from a change. I have seen changes take 3-4 months to really click in some situations.

Project Lift much appreciated feedback. I definitely notice the difference between empty bar practice vs light loading. Thanks!

We think it is great, and it goes along with how the hips are shaped and how our femur operates well in the hip!
