The imagery is so beautiful! I might add this to my buy list. The book looks so detailed, which I love. The box damage was disappointing, they should have packaged it better. Also, I agree with you on the inside of the box. It seems very cheaply made. That's why I'm unsure if I might add it to my buy list or not, only because in Canada it's $10 more on the price lol

The book is really what made up for the price and the packaging. It's really detailed and perfect for any level. But yes, good old price tag lol.

I have Yhe Star Tarot and it is my favourite tarot deck ever made. SO. DEEP! The card stock is amazing, heavy, smooth, just yum! The art is glorious, you can see Cathy was making this deck for over 10 years. Very well thought out.

Omg we know already that you can't unstick cards. When you get new cards with guilding (yes it's called guilding) you have to brush through their top and bottom while holding them. Similarly like you would like to shuffle them.

I'm weirdly drawn to this deck but I can't help but feel iffy about it because of the (I would say) heavy cultural appropriation (of a lot of Native American symbols as well as Hindu concepts like the chakras and dharma)??? Although to be fair, there are also Golden Dawn/Thoth references too (and they're usually known for their exclusivity). It feels a bit weirder too that the author and artist seems to be a white woman (positionality is important to me). It just feels weird and I can't decide haha :))

Just got this deck! Such great quality. Worth the price! Thanks for your review! The only issue I've had was that they came stuck together, however I solved that quite easily! Love the book as well! Very interesting and informative.

So beautiful 🤩 can I ask something ? Is ok to buy myself the cards or is better to receive from someone.. I heard some superstition about it and I am confused..

It is absolutely oK to buy it yourself. The cards are just paper with pictures, so the only thing that will happen is, that you get your deck soon and can start working with it. If I'd waited until someone gives me a deck, I'd wait for 30 years now.

Plus, in the other edition the cards are split into two in the packaging. I know you don't prefer that.

I have the first edition. I think they're wider in the hand and they have a different back, and The World card is the cover. I adore using it. There are typos in the guidebook though, I've noticed. The old ones have more distinctive borders, too.

Thank you for this review ❤️ I got the first edition in a swap, and just fell in love with the book, but the cards was not for me (glossy and huge boarders). Then I saw the second edition and just had to have it! I don't resonate all that much with the pictures (it's lovely, but I can't read intuitivly with these). But the book is worth the price alone 😍 It's a piece of art in written form, and I LOVE that the book has color and not the glossy magazine paper. Amazing set for sure! I would never picked this deck up by my self based on pictures and reviews so I feel very lucky to have it sent to me by chance 🥰 When you have had this book in your collection, you can't be without! I even find it better than some of the tarot books I've read! 😅

Does anyone knows where to get this deck? It seems to be out of stock everywhere! 💔

Oh enjoy! The stand was from a wood making couple named Jake + Erica. I have their link in the description, however it seems to be invalid now. The only other thing I can think of is checking them out on Instagram.

Hasn't anybody noticed that emperor is misspelled? They flipped the e and the o The card says "emporer" not "emperor"

Omg I just got this deck yesterday! And now ur making a video of it. How awesome! I love this deck! 😃 I don’t know if u noticed but the Emperor card is misspelled. I don’t mind it but if u do u can contact Schiffer for a replacement. 👍🏼 Ur deck was in better shape cuz mine was really bowed in the middle of deck but that can be fixed and a little imperfection of the guilding.

In the 1st edition, it is not borderless and have big chunky boarder which everyone complains about which is reasonable because the intricate artwork is squished. I also heard that when it was first printed, it was only 22 Major only deck and the minor cards are added later on which may explain the minors is a bit different. I notice the Minor Arcana is a mix between RWS system and Thoth system. And i am looking forward to own this deck too

Oh good to know! Yeah I would've not enjoyed having the borders on it. Other than that, it's a gorgeous deck.
