The St. Regis Almasa Hotel, Cairo | Egypt | Marriott Bonvoy | Hotel Review

This is a review of The St. Regis Almasa Hotel, Cairo.
The hotel is amazing, it has high security and you can walk inside of the property easily.
Our butler arranged a private tour for pyramids and museum. A St. Regis driver took us to the guide and he was with us all the time, so we felt safe. I'm glad we stayed there because there were less guests for the size of the property. It's quiet, but fun. The food is great. I want to come back to eat the same one at the Egyptian restaurant.
Actually the gym was the best. All kinds of equipments and machines are there and nobody was there.
The property is huge and it's in the desert, so it reminds me of Las Vegas.
I will post the reviews of each hotel/resort as much as possible. I hope you enjoy the videos for your information to decide to or not to stay there.
Thank you,
Yuka M

Video is amazing, congrats!! Very informative. I am considering staying at St Regis, could tell if would it was easy to get the tours to the pyramids and how much did it cost?

Thank you for saying so!!! Actually, the pyramids area is far away, but St. Regis driver took us to a private guide whom St. Regis hired as an independent contractor, and the driver was waiting for us, so it was really easy, I mean, safe. The cost for the pyramids and the museum was $135/person at that time. (October 2022)

Thank you for the lovely tour and informative video. Would you happen to know about transport options from this hotel to the city? I hear the hotel cars are expensive. Do you know if Uber operates in this area?

Thank you for saying so!! I'm happy to hear that.😊😊 I'm sorry, but I don't know the other transportation options to the city.🤔 Yes, the hotel car is expensive, but it's really safe. The drivers have responsibilities for our safety, and our driver was waiting for us till we finished the tour. It's worth hiring the hotel car, and the vehicle doesn't have a sticker "St. Regis" on the body, so people don't know that we're staying at one of the most nicest hotels, which there are less risks to get involved in some trouble. If you don't use the hotel car, I don't recommend staying there. I'd stay at St. Regis Cairo, instead of Almasa. 😓

Hi, thank you for watching my video and the comment. It isn't easy to look any major places. The hotel is far away from the main area. But the best thing is that the hotel has drivers and they take us to private guides, so actually we didn't feel it was difficult to look Giseh area, though we didn't go to Luxor. The hotel seems to have several individual reliable contractors to give us private tours for the major attractions. I hope this answer would help. Let me know if you have other questions. Thanks again for watching.

It seems a little bit empty. It was really empty or is it just my impression? Can I ask how much you paid for the excursions?

  • @yuka.m

It wasn't empty because the breakfast place was almost full, but the resort is huge, so we didn't see many people except restaurants. The excursion was $135/person for pyramids and museum visits on the same day. It was great. The St. Regis really took care of us.
