When will Google invite James Damore?
Moderators everywhere, people come to listen to the speaker. Not you. Keep it short.
We do tend to forget that the events that shaped history were never even imagined. We have absolutely no idea what the next Black Swan events will be. No clue whatsoever.
The moderator talks waaay too long at the beginning. Just let Ferguson tell his story.

Also interrupts his viewpoint and also interupts him on some of his viewpoints. Typical Google!

I think I paused the video six times during that Greek guy. Jesus Christ. He talks from 51:30 - 54:30! What was the moderator doing. 5% of the video is him.
A little pompous but I do like a bit of Niall Ferguson. Important to have voices like his amongst the sea of revisionist TED talky history that breaks through today. I don't think network modelling is quite the break through he makes it out to be (although of course he does have a book to promote ;)). But it is definitely a useful new tool in the historians toolkit. I like how it ticks boxes for both the top down and bottom up interpretations of history.
Start here 5:00
Niall starts at 5:00
Not too long ago, I saw four large six feet shrimps carrying a coffin.
Изучаю английский и пытался понять что тут говорили, но похоже это слишком сложно для перевода.

Seán O'Nilbud Tell that to my Bank account, stock portfolio and all the Black & Hispanic people enjoying their lowest unemployment ever. Your smug arrogance is your handicap
The future is grim according to Ferguson. Hopefully not.
1:22 man said woe betide!
Little did he know that within two years things would not only be terrible they would be almost beyond repair. civilization is collapsing.
Moderator, why am I listening to you? Stop. Just stop. Lol
N. Ferguson may rattle as he will, it makes no difference. Suppose I am building an aeroplane. While I’m doing it, N. Ferguson is rattling that it won’t fly. I ignore him. I just keep on building my aeroplane, and it flies. The rattler keeps on rattling. So what? Ignore him. N. Ferguson may rattle as he will - don’t feed the troll. Paul Krugman said that too. N. Ferguson can’t stand that.
