@@gazcook6218 I know Gaz, I didn't say he was singing, I said he was discovered whilst in the band playing live. He may have sung it at a gig. Who knows, but it's a terrible loss for all fans of the 2Tone movement and The Specials

Absolutely my dear friend. Heard it first on Peel, under the bedcover, aged 13. Stayed in my head, never knew who it was.. Till then years ago..heard it on sound of the 70 's....BBC radio 2....Sunday afternoon job.. Found out it was The Squad. With Terry out of Special's from Coventry. Just up the road. .. Never knew...

I have this single. Always loved this track. A mate of mine Rob played drums for them at one point. Was a great time in Coventry

RIP Terry hall. God this guy was making unbelievable music even before The Specials. This is absolutely superb.

Used to hear this in the Crown and Barbarellas, Birmingham..Great punk band !! :-))

This used to be on the jukebox in the Woodlands pub, Tile Hill Cov, Happy days

There's a Kvekertok (A current Oslo band .) song that I'd swear they bit that exquisite little high guitar lick from .

Gus recorded a cd under the band name Squad 21 from around 2004 I think? It’s well worth tracking down. I sawSquad21 play at the dome in morecambe they were fantastic! R.I.P. Gus

I remember I first met gig at a gig on Cov, I charged him and he was like "do you know who I am ?" and took the stamp off me and stamped me in the forehead with it, gave me the stamp back and walked in without paying haha!

@ISawRed123 No this is the late Gus, who took over from Terry Hall. I don't think Hall ever recorded with them.
