The Spy is on a mission for the 8th Kri release and it ends with a bang. Similar to Wessel's releases on Mechatronica and Osare! Editions, his signature sound keeps evolving by melting electro, EBM and wave into a hypnotising dystopian soundtrack.
His Kri debut is named Halt and Hack and it ranges from melancholic EBM-ish slow burners to mutated wave-meets-electro anthems, rounded with a nostalgic remix by the mighty Zement operator Kluentah.
🎧 The Spy
Wessel Janssen .Electronic music DJ and producer from the Netherlands. The Spy was created in 2019, when Wessel Janssen found out he was producing more styles than ever before. After some time working on different electronic vibes, he discovered a new love: electro. Not long after the creation of his new name, a very first release was made: an acid electro track involved in a V/A album on ‘Everyone On Acid’. Later that year there were more releases, alongside artists like The Horrorist, Alessandro Adriani, Jauzas The Shining and Cardopusher. His instalment on Discos Atónicos is his first ever release on Wax
