In later episodes Squidward is shown to be capable of manning the grill without burning the place down. Even Mr Krabs and Pearl have done it too. I guess Mr Krabs learned his lesson.

To be fair it’s implied, at least in earlier episodes, I’m not sure about the modern ones, that SpongeBob DOES have days off that are days the Krusty Krab is still open, so SOMEONE mans the grill when he’s gone

I remember playing the demo of this game as a kid and wanting the full version so bad. It wasn't until some years later, during a book fair in middle school, that I discovered a physical CD-ROM of the game. I bought it, played it for a while, got stuck on a level, and never went back to it. I still own the disc and may even revisit it after watching this video.

3:52 whoa, that's the movie version of Neptune! I thought the movie-exclusive things were so tightly controlled, nothing other than the movie-based games could use them. That's why it took so long for the show to bring in Goofy Goober's. But he's just chilling in this random game? So, really difficult restaraunt sim, eh? And I thought Chowder's Bookin' Cook is a game that gets really hard in the later levels, but from what you describe, sounds like this game is even more challanging...

Both SpongeBob Diner Dashes are reskins of the first two Diner Dash games. Heck, there's even a "mrbig" (the main antagonist of Diner Dash 2) file in Two Times the Trouble.

I remember playing this game in my father’s iPad as a child and being obsessed with it, playing it religiously everytime I had the chance, don’t really remember how much progress I made but I know I was quite good at it

i played spongebob diner dash (2006 pc) (it doesn't work anymore because i switched computers and no longer have the disc :() when i was very young and i never beat it until i was in high school. the last levels were near impossible but i found out if i seated only 1 group of customers at a time and stood at the podium whenever they were busy i could beat the level and even the expert score sometimes. can you imagine if that happened at a real restaurant, where all the tables are empty except 1 and the only waiter is spending most of his time doing like, standup comedy for the long line of customers

Have you ever thought about talking about Spongebob Collapse along with the other Collapse games? They’re puzzle games that require you to click on 3 or more matching boxes before the boxes rise to the top of the screen.

I remeber seeing ads for the first game as a kid but didn't play it. A few years later I REALLY got into the main Dash series and it's spin-offs. I recently found most if the games on abandonware sites (in cluding Spongebob Diner Dash) and I was shocked to see they are just pallet swaps of the first two games. Wish we games 3 and 4 got the Sponge treatment because they have a dress up feature and I want to turn Spongebob into a fashion icon! The spinoffs also would have fit Spongebob perfectly.

so i find the diner dash games difficult up until you unlock the podium. after that you can EASILY control how many customers you're serving at a time by endlessly talking at the podium

I had a physical version of this from Target, I had no patience so it pissed me off as a child. I didn't get far.
