I found not one but two Sit-n-Spins for my 2 lil guys in the trash (u know, "day after the yardsale trash") lol. I was so excited because that was my favorite as a kid alone with the Spiro-Graph. I have a Spirograph from when I was a kid. I can see it from where I am sitting. It is about 55 years old and I still have all of the parts. It is a really cool toy for a kid because it is geometry and math come to life. I only have a very few toys from childhood but that is one I am glad I kept.

I got one of these. I think it came in a set with some sort of machine idk. Maybe automatic. OHHH *nostalgia hitting hard* I now remember a lot of things that have similar premises with adding machines to simple toys and drawing tools. Like a spinning bowl to just throw on paint (don’t think I ever really used it or learned how to) and a thing where mirrors added light to be able to trace templates of stuff. (I can almost smell the special markers that it came with, I don’t think they were special, just probably having higher odor) and I remember making so many name cards for the family every thanksgiving and Christmas. Help I’m becoming depressed to go to back to the young days.

What’s cool about these is they show how shading CAN be done to show 3D effects- without actually needing talent to create said shading. It’s super cool.
