Another example of why the goblin is Peter/Spider-Man's greatest enemy. He knows him better then anyone and really knows how to play horrible mind games with him. And once again William Defoe nails the character just like the first time around in the 2002 movie. In the comics Goblin drove Peter to want to kill him for Gwen's death. A similar scenario happened in the amazing Spider-Man 2 but a scene was cut out just after Gwen's death where Peter is so angry he nearly actually beats the goblin to death. In NWH it was May's demise that was what drove Peter to want to kill the goblin. Like I said the goblin is great and one of the best antagonists to a super hero ever.
