@@ZeldaFitz We travelled down to Bournemouth with the band for their gig at Capones nightclub, Elvis Costello was there that night. A brilliant gig. It's where the photo for the cover of their first album was taken - the one where they're all standing sideways on, looking up. And that's where I bought that hat! Terry Hall is wearing my jacket in that photo, heaven knows what happened to his own jacket. Bournemouth was an absolute blast. (Hey Perry & Gary, if you ever stumble across this comment, It's Douggie here, get in touch. Time flies eh? One love Zelda x

I saw The Specials first in the beautiful summer of ‘78 in London at the Music Machine when The Special AKA were a late addition to The Clash ‘Out On Parole’ tour. I was 13. Guitarist Roddy Radiation gave me his guitar to carry in with him “If anyone asks you’re my brother” he said with a grin and sneaked me in backstage. They were great fun and Roddy is a legend. Terry Hall gave me about thirty posters to take home. Still got a few left. I got a free ticket for their return gig at the music machine and met up again with Roddy and had a laugh. One of the first times I ever got stoned was with those guys. Happy memories . All my love to them all wherever they all are. They were really decent to the young fans and that’s not forgotten . Respect.

apathyintheuk - I am not getting into an argument about accents like the Americans seem to do on KZread videos. To me a Coventry accent sounds posh, probably because I am from West Yorkshire. Lynval was born in Jamaica and lived in Coventry in later years. He sounds like he is from Coventry to me but also you can hear a bit of a Jamaican accent. That is all I was saying. I wouldn't worry about it too much mate. It's no big deal.
