@pinoypiper The boat was donated to us way back when the river rehabilitation project started. So the intention behind that was really for cleaning the esteros. As far as we know, the P3,000 refers to a single sheet.

on the video Ruby said P3,000 for marine plywood, is she talking about a single sheet or plywood for an entire boat? When we designed the bahangka, the 4x8 boats that you are using now, it was designed primarily as a boat for flood relief and not as a work boat. If to be used as a work boat, it would have to be fiberlass and epoxy encapsulated to be able to withstand daily use. In which case a fiberglass and epoxy encapsulated bahangka will cost less than 15,000 to build

Looks like they were dontated by Cord, they were one of our sponsors for epoxy and paint when we made the first batch of bahangkas after Ondoy. P3000 per sheet for marine plywood is way too much, sounds like someone's making a very large commission on your purchases. you can get a sheet of Sta. Clara for around P600, that being said maintenance is not that expensive. we chose to use plywood for ease of repair and maintenance any carpenter can fix plywood but not fiberglass.
