I’m in a lot of pain swollen joints, fevers out of nowhere and fatigue are just a few, because of my condition I declined the vaccine, and was fired over my decision. Since than I’ve been struggling to provide for myself and my two autistic children. My husband passed away three years ago, so I’m all alone. I have no family nor friends. Both of my sons are non verbal so as a mommy things can be a little more difficult. We are facing homelessness we have nowhere to go. I’m so embarrassed because of my situation. I have no family nor friends to help me, but I have nothing but Faith that God will provide. Keep Faith in Him. Please pray for us durning this time. Thank you.

One of the most common expressions one hears in Christian circles, especially for reassurance when things aren't going well, is that "God is in control, He's still on the throne." Christians comfort themselves with these words-but what do they mean? Was God not "in control" when Satan rebelled and when Adam and Eve disobeyed, but now He is? Does God's being in control mean that all the rape, murder, war and multiplied evil is exactly what He planned and desires? Christ asks us to pray, "Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven" (Matthew 6:10). Why that prayer if we are already in God's kingdom with Satan bound, as John Calvin taught and Reconstructionists claim today? Could a world of rampant evil really be what God wills? Surely not! "Wait a minute!" someone counters. "Are you suggesting that our omnipotent God is unable to effect His will upon earth? What heresy is this! Paul clearly says that God 'worketh all things after the counsel of his own will' (Ephesians 1:11)." Yes. But the Bible itself contains many examples of men defying God's will and disobeying Him. God laments, "I have nourished and brought up children, and they have rebelled against me" (Isaiah 1:2). The sacrifices they offer Him and their evil lives are obviously not according to His will. We are told that "the Pharisees and the lawyers rejected for themselves the counsel of God" (Luke 7:30). Christ's statement in Matthew 7:21 shows clearly that everyone doesn't always do God's will. That is implied also in Isaiah 65:12; 1 Thessalonians 5:17-19; Hebrews 10:36; 1 Peter 2:15; 1 John 2:17 and many other scriptures. In fact, Ephesians 1:11 doesn't say that everything that happens is according to God's will, but according to "the counsel " of His will. Clearly the counsel of God's will has given man freedom to disobey Him. There is no other explanation for sin.

That has been my belief, that if you do not begin with the ABSOLUTE SOVEREIGNTY of GOD our CREATOR, IF you cannot believe Genesis 1:1 IMO you will never have a foundation of bedrock. If one you chooses to be seperated frrom GOD here in the temporal this one has choosen by default hell and eternal seperation from the Creator, YHWH.

The sovereignty of God position seemingly destroys any argument for the morality of an eternal heaven or hell. If we don't know the reasons for the bad things that happen to us, or because of us, then we can't be blamed for getting it wrong or credited for getting it right. In the absence of any explanation, any response whatsoever from Job, for example, during his trials would have been justified, because he knew nothing about the bet between God and Satan. He remained true to God, as the story goes, even though he should have been pissed. I've often wondered if Job would have gone to hell if he had gave God the middle finger (the justifiable response) to the gambit, or if Abraham had refused to sacrifice his son. IMHO, "God is sovereign" is the worst explanation for the undeniable existence of unexplained suffering and evil.

Calvinist have to take their interpretation of God’s sovereignty, that He controls every thought, action, sin, good deed, etc, to the logical conclusion that it’s not just God’s will that people sin, but that God Himself even compels a person to sin. Their sinful acts are mandated by God. I believe this error can be debunked with just one verse, “But if, while we seek to be justified by Christ, we ourselves also are found sinners, is therefore Christ the minister of sin? God forbid.”

In Genesis 3^14, GOD identified Himself as "Eheyeh Asher Eheyeh" (I Am Who I Am). "YHWH" in the following verse does not contain vowel points here. However, generally in the Masoretic Text "YHWH" is pointed with vowels from "Adonai" (my Lord, translated as the LORD) to be read "Adonai". Due to misunderstanding, this combination of consonants & vowels resulted in the hybrid misreading "Jehovah". Some Jews read YHWH as "HaShem" (The Name). The true vowels of YHWH are lost. The first vowel might be qametz gadol (long a) from "Yah" occuring elsewhere in the Text. The other vowel segol (short e) is a guess.

To me it is very simple to know who the true God is, that's when I go outside lift up my face and open my eyes look towards heaven, all the things that I see, that I can't even imagine, how perfect and marvelous The Works of the Living God, in the book of Psalm, said, the fool said in his heart there is no God, he is fool, I believe if there is no God, no Heaven and no earth, and nothing at all, and how fool are those that say there is no God. They become corrupt, and they die with no mercy, if they don't repent of their deed they will face the Wrath of God.

In urban India, the individual Church member cannot but get proactive and depend on the Holy Spirit to operate with discernment, in the present-day Church, to guard and grow in their relationship with the Triune God because the Pastors have become very self-seeking and not, even in a superficial way, concerned as to where their flocks are heading. It's not about having missed their calling, it's more about it they responded to a call at all as they seem to be driven by ulterior motives from the way they live their lives. Sad.

If God is drawing you, if you desire to deny yourself, take up your cross and follow Christ, then thank God! Jesus said that no one can come to Him except the Father draws him. And he who comes He will in no wise cast out. Read the gospel of John. Then read the letter of 1 John. The Bible tells us to examine ourselves to see if we are in the faith. If you do that, and the Bible assures you, then cling to that. Years ago I was dealing with the same doubts. I went through the New Testament and underlined the scriptures I found that reassured me, and every time the doubt returned I would just go through and read aloud all the verses I had underlined. It's important not to rest in a false assurance of salvation. But it's important to allow the Holy Spirit through the scriptures, to reassure your heart if you are truly His. 😊😁👍

@@Romans8-9 well salvation has always been determined by God and through what means, that’s His eternal plan, but He hasn’t predetermined or predetermined ahead who individually be saved. He knows who because of His omniscience, but has not picked deterministically who will or not by name (Romans 2:11).

  • @Romans8-9

    @Romans8-9

    2 жыл бұрын

@@osvaldoroman9957 "He hasn’t predetermined or predetermined ahead who individually be saved" Ephesians 1:4-5 says otherwise. The text says HE CHOSE US, not on anything based on what we did. If it was based on what we did, it would make his judgment partial. The argument that he is "impartial" when it comes to salvation is self-defeating since correctly choosing God and salvation would imply partiality. Moreover, there is a pattern of God choosing throughout scripture. First he chose Israel, a nation that would have other nations bow down before them. If we are going by your interpretation of "impartial", why did Israel get special treatment and apparent favoritism? Then he chose the Apostles. None more apparent than the election of Paul who was murdering Christians and yet God had to appear to him in order to save him. Where was Paul´s wisdom in choosing his salvation correctly while he was murdering Christians? Those who oppose unconditional election never have an adequate response for Paul but that "he was an exception", same with the Apostles. Interestingly, the Apostles are exceptions when it comes to election but not when it comes to spiritual gifts apparently. Another issue with your "prooftext" is that Romans 2:11 is referring to partiality in judgment when read in context with subsequent verses. When it comes to judgment, God will judge fairly but judgment is for those who are not in Christ. The idea that God is completely "impartial" across the board is categorically untrue. We see examples of what one would perceive as "favoritism". With Israel, with Jacob, with David. We see God decreeing he will bless certain individuals through no actions of their own while others are (deservedly) cursed for generations.

Unlike you, I don’t have the time or desire to school you on this already classic and super refuted calvinist error. Simply put thought, the election of Israel to bring the scriptures and to fulfill God’s plan of blessing to all the nations and electing certain individuals to fulfill that plan, can’t be misapplied to imply individual election of persons. You can blurt of the usual calvinist proof texts out of context, but you would still be misinterpreting the Scriptures. So have at it friend.

.... What is the truth? Jesus is the way! .... to what? Alot of people forget when reading the bible, to use Jesus as the standard, when everything needs to line up with what He said! When you do all sorts of truth will be shared with us! In the end it's the truth that sets you free! We learn in James 2:19 that even the demons believe! Does that mean that the demons are saved? How do we know if we believe then? In order to find out if we believe in Jesus we must believe His word is truth. HIS word is first, not the apostles, not Paul and not your pastor or priest ... HIS! We need to read the words of our Messiah and use THEM as the standard. In that remember Jesus also said: Do """"ALL""""" that Moses said. Matthew 23:1-3 In John 5:47 Jesus says "But if you dont believe in Moses writings, how will you believe in His! In Luke 16:31 "" If they dont listen to Moses & the prophets, they won't listen if someone rises from the dead"" Gee I wonder do you who rose from the dead that He was talking about? It comes down to this; if you dont accept Moses writings, or the prophets, you won't accept what Jesus says. Jesus ""never contradicted the Father therefore He never contradicted what Moses wrote. Jesus didn't start a new religion. If He did, the pharisees would've crucified Him for that! Remember they found no fault in Him!!! That means when they studied the writings of Moses there wasn't any contradiction with what He said and what the Father had Moses write down. He didn't teach a new religion He came to show us "The Way" to walk out the old one. Don't let Jesus say to you "" Depart from me you who practice lawlessness"" Instead believe His words """ If you love me keep my commandments"""" His commands are exactly the fathers commands. These very commands that Moses wrote!

I really appreciate Dr. MacArthur, but either I am missing something or he is concerning the purpose of translation. If you want exactly what the writer was saying then stick with the original language. The goal of translation is to put what God said into language the reader will understand. As language changes and education gets worse, the translated wording has changed to produce the same understanding in the reader. From what I have seen I like the LSB. I'll have to wait for more to be printed to get the one I want.

Yeah, I reckon you are missing something! 😄😄 John MacArthur is talking about translating the original languages by carefully considering and teasing out the *words* and their *meaning* in the original languages, based on a knowledge and understanding of the life and times in which it was written, and what the writers *intended to convey.* Modern translations tend to focus primarily on what the modern reader *knows and understands* about life and times today, and *alter the language* to facilitate the readers' comprehension, *rather* than allowing the *preachers* to *explain and expound* the scriptures and their background and history to their congregations so they will grasp the writers' original intent. New translations do take into account the way language changes, but they sometimes focus more on the current reader than the intent of the original author. That's the point John MacArthur is making.

It's very amusing listening to John and other Calvanists work so hard to explain Sovereignty in a way that it denies Free Will. Why is it so difficult for him to understand that our Sovereign God created mankind and gave him a free Will. What is Free Will? God allows man to choose whether He wants to receive the free gift of salvation, or whether he wants to reject Christ and serve sin. Calvanist don't seem to believe a Sovereign God has the right to create man and then give him freedom to choose. Therefore, Calvanists have to assume that God created most people to go to hell, and He created a few people to go to heaven. McAuthur wrestles with the notion of God's Sovereignty and man's responsibility. His wrestling match is an effort to protect his misunderstanding of the truth of Free Will.

The fallen human will is not in the Bible. The sovereignty of God, and the pretext of no free will support the sophism of John Calvin. No one ever contested the sovereignty of God, saved us according to his own good pleasure. But we must choose life or death, blessing or cursing, and it is God himself who tells us to choose life. If we can choose, that requires free will. Think about it, we make choices every day, some are trivial and some are not. Don't make too much of theological jargon, the message of the gospel is simple. Reform theology is trash that has come down to us from ignorant men, who are ever learning and never coming to a knowledge of the truth. God has created us to do good works, moreover he has prepared the works beforehand and we shall be judged according to our works, good or bad. Let your light shine that men may see your good works, and glorify your father in heaven. Show me your faith without your works, show me the mercy and the love of God without good works. You can read God's Sovereignty into many things said in the Bible, but the Bible never describes God thus. One would have to ask why you are so obsessed with it when the Scriptures are not? God is described as Holy which I understand to be His set apartness, otherness. Ever heard of the Holy of Holies where Gods presence dwelt. Ever heard about how the curtain therein was split open when Jesus died on the cross. Stop adding to scripture what it does not say. If He is all controlling as you describe Him, what happened in the Bible is meaningless. The Bible is about Him entering into our world to reveal Himself to us. Never does He call Himself Sovereign. Jesus came as a servant and is the exact representation of God. And God is Love. In this the love of God was made manifest among us, that God sent his only Son into the world, so that we might live through him. 1 John 4:8-9 Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful, it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never ends, 1 Corinthians 13:4-8 The Bible is the Word of God in its unique written form. But the Bible is not Jesus Christ, who is the living Word. The Bible was not born of a virgin, crucified, resurrected and elevated to the right hand of the Father. Neither is the Bible the word of God that is settled eternally in the heavens, as the psalmist says (Ps 119:89), expressing itself in the order of nature (Ps 19:1-4). The Bible is not the word of God that, in the book of Acts, expanded and grew and multiplied (Acts 12:24). It is not the word that Jesus spoke of as being sown by the active speaking of the ministry (Mt 13). Inerrancy by itself is not a sufficient theory of biblical inspiration because, as everyone knows, the Bible in our hand is not the original text. Inerrancy of the originals also does not guarantee sane and sound, much less error-free, interpretations. We need the living God who is present in and through His word, and is present when His word is spoken.

Can you be specific as to where he is wrong, rather than a general accusation? I recommend Voddie Bachmann, he's researched it for, I think it was, more than a decade.

I just spent some time last week at a conference and some black brothers did a good job of unpacking the marxism of CRT and BLM movement.

His testimony contradicts his New Birth analogy in Jn vs 3. Beginning at 14:00 he's 9 yrs old realizes he's convicted of his sin and knew he needed Christ to change him. @14:45 he's college age has severe car accident decides to obey God so that his life doesn't get worse through God's doings. @ 15:00 says he doesn't know the exact moment of salvation but remembers going to his father and telling him he needs to be Saved. If we're already pre saved and have no part in the matter how can a dead man have all the conviction and coming to terms with the need for a new birth that he's not even aware of. Seems to be a religion of philosophy and rearranging the chairs on the titanic. Seems Calvinism is full of holes and not enough fingers to stop the leaks.

I challenge you to watch again. You will find that he isn't contradicting at all. We can have a conviction of sin and be challenged to be saved. We can even know we need to be saved. However, until the Holy Spirit quickens us we are dead and unable to respond. Read Romans 3. No one seeks after God. Scripture supports Calvinism if you are using the same definition I am. However, I don't know your definition, so I can't know if you use the same definition.

He didnt have a moment because he wasnt that rebellious as he himself admitted. The new birth is much more drastic for someone who has lived a life of sin unlike JMac. I dare say for people brought up in a healthy Christian upbringing, the new birth would be difficult to pinpoint.

I listen to Jim Brown Grace and Truth ministries on utube, he teaches predestination, not Calvinism, but, he teaches great Bible, he and John use to be friends.
