Let's back to the moment when Tiesto was Tiesto...

I am 34, and from about 2005-2010, Tiesto was my favorite DJ. After that he changed, and so did I. He made me leave Trance after he left and went comercial. I wanted to stay with Trance, but by then it had mostly died. Then, Dubstep became popular and I honestly feel Trance died. Sure it is still around, but not like before. 1998-2010 were the best times for Trance.

I stopped listening to any music he put out after 2012. Still back here listening to old Euro Tiesto and Im 42 years old.

I never really got to discover Tiësto even at the peak of my EDM listening days when I was younger. I very recently started listening to all his stuff. I can’t believe how dope he was. I got to see him at 2 raves so far. Easily one of my top 3 fav EDM artists I’ve seen on stage of all time so far 🔥🔥🔥

Please come back to this Tiesto!

Silence was the best trance track back in those days. I think every trance head would agree to this. This was anthem. And this literally got me into the trance scene - this one track

Everything eventually must die. I think Tiesto just had to move on to another genre because Trance had reached the end of it's genre lifespan. Just like you won't hear dubstep, 2-step, hardcore or synth anymore. Tiesto saw this and decided he wanted to keep on producing, so he had to move to something more mainstream. If he didn't, he would have been a "has-been" to put it bluntly (would still be a legend of course.)
