Hi Friedrich, I’m hopefully getting an O22 next week. Your guitar and playing sounds great, but I’d like to know your opinion on the strings? I usually use Ernie Ball earth wood strings or Elixer on my various acoustics. Cheers

Elixir & D'Addario man mostly. Especially liking the D'Addario XS range. Enjoy the o22 :)

Obviously amazing sound… but love the “airy” style. Great playing. Is this a medium or low tension set?

Thank you for the different string uploads. I have been comparing these strings as everyone seems to be on the hype train lately. Not sure if it's a case of the Emperor's new clothes though, as on this guitar, I prefer the Lowden strings to these (you are playing a different piece on each video though). These seem to lack bass, lack warmth, and be louder and brighter, but less 'interesting' than the Lowden strings video. I'll stick to my Elixir polyweb custom lights on my own Lowden I think.

@@cvrfkoh Indeed ! I fingerpick, with short nails (so the flesh contacts the string), and I really love the warmer less bright tone. I do fully respect different guitars will sound different with the same strings on though, so maybe I'll try some of these Santa Cruz on mine one day (If I see some in a sale !) 🙂

I think this one was in CGDGAD. Unfortunately the machine this was recorded on died an unrecoverable death and I lost the tuning info (I keep that in the note sections of the recordings). I’ll have to go back to this and figure it out again. Not doing this for a living makes one forget the damn tunes :).
