The Sound of Nascar 1976 Olympia Charger INSANELY LOUD START UP SOUND
Filmed this amazing 1976 Nascar which competed in the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1976! It's no other than the Olympia Charger, quite a famous race car powered by some true Murica V8 muscle!
The start up sound was absolutely INSANE, really, deafening. I'm glad I was able to record the pure Nascar Sound of this beast.
Other than that the video features some accelerations and fast flybys!

If modern day NASCAR used "real" cars like this, NASCAR would be a lot more popular.
Having not being born when these were the mainstay in NASCAR, if this is how one sounds, imagine what a whole field of 43 of these would sound
Say what you will but this thing actually ran down and passed Ferrari's on the Mulsanne Straight. Many people will vouch for this fact.
Modern day engines are pretty amazing when it comes to sound and performance, but classic V8 goodness can never be matched or surpassed.
Back when Nascar was actually interesting.
Saw this beast at Hockenheim a year ago. Went centimeters past me in the garages, never been so intimidated by a car
I actually watch NASCAR if they actually raced “stock” cars.
It's beyond my ability to comprehend how women can't derive any beauty at all from a powerful exhaust note.

That's a 73/74 body style. 74 was the last year before drastic change. Beautiful and sounds wicked! I had a 71 RT 440 and a 72 as well.
If you've never been to a race surrounded by cars like this and felt the thunder radiate throughout your entire body then I feel for you. There's just nothing else like it in the world!
Not a nascar race fan, but that racecar start up DAMN! Loved it!

I knew one of the guys involved in this whole effort (RIP Don). He told me that when they went over the managed to get a number of cases of Oly Lubricant through Customs successfully, what Customs didn't know is that it wasn't oil it was Olympia Beer.😂
I wasn’t even born yet when these beautiful machines graced the circuit. But holy crap, the goosebumps and shivers up my spine when it took off. Absolute pornography if you ask me. I feel I’ve sinned just watching this.
