A close friend in prison is a much closer friend than one outside. I speak from personal experience. It's a much closer bond due to it being made while you're both sharing In a horrible experience where likely there is very few if ANYONE else you like or are willing to trust or be comfortable around. 5 years of a prison friendship is more like a lifetime.

Unfortunately, Angelo directly stood with Carmine against John. He was directly involved in the order to take out Peeps. If John was going to be boss, he had to take out everyone who didn’t go along. Angelo put himself in a bad position. Tony probably didn’t help Angelo by telling John “Angelo had this idea”. Even when Angelo initially resisted.
He comes off as a very likeable character. Getting rid of him was disastrous, as he was a voice of reason and moderation.

I don't know how many people caught it, but this part 4:05-4:21 is a tribute to The Godfather Part 3. When Don Altobello is in Sicily, just before he entrusts the professional assassin Mosca da Montelepre with the murder of Michael Corelone, he asks Mosca's son to do an imitation of a donkey, and the son does this ridiculous imitation that amuses Don Altobello. Of all the tributes to the Godfather found in The Sopranos, this is one of the most difficult to recognise.
Tony threw Angelo right under the bus! Said it was Angelos idea instead of his. Angelo didn’t even wanna get involved. Everybody at that table not named Soprano died because of Tonys stupid idea. That he blamed on Angelo! That always bothered me
@StevenKombolis
10 ай бұрын
Tony and John did that nonsense with each other constantly. Remember when John's idea was to make Ralph captain after Tony hit him and when Tony objected John said it was Ralph's idea AMF he immediately threw cold water on it The crazy thing is it was probably pretty easy to have guys killed (not saying that was the intent here) just by floating rumors. Even like in the Wire when they killed that guy for supposedly saying Marlo was a c***sucker and the kid says supposedly and Chris tells him whether he said it or not doesn't matter, what matters is people think he said it I know obviously it's TV but it's not like in real life people were brought in and given the chance to deny accusations. Although if say they were and you believed them and they were lying then what? Or on the flip side if they were being honest then anyone repeating the rumor might have done so innocently or maliciously. Basically if they think you are capable of it whether you did it because irrelevant
It always gets used in fun but I honestly wish they did more with angelo

But will carmine be as effective as his father was???
I hope Borko eventually starts making videos about characters so obscure that they are 2-3 seconds long. And I can comment about shine boxes in them.
Seeing Frankie Valli reminds me: Olivia Newton-John RIP. Grease is the word.

The mayor of munchkin land is my favourite character....they should've done more with him
Angelo didn’t know who Tony was talking about cause he didn’t refer to his cousin’s proper name, Animal Blundetto…
"The fundamental question is, will I be as effective as a boss like My dad was...and I will be, even more so- but until I am...it'll be hard to verify that I think I'll be more effective." Lmao Jesus what a way to say a whole lot without saying nothin
"Jason, men are talking here." LOL
Lol "he's just floating this to keep the peace."
Only Little Carmine can both confirm AND deny he will be a good boss in the same sentence.

Little Carmine is one of those guys who thinks using lots of words is a sign of intelligence
I love how HBO's way of communicating with the KZread community like Breaking Bad & Better Call Saul is not posting videos and clips, but not taking down Borko and other Sopranos channels and letting them do it for them.
Been streaming old episodes of The Rockford Files lately and was surprised to learn that that show was David Chase’s first producing job. Joe Santos who plays Angelo in the Sopranos was Lt. Dennis Becker - Jim Rockford’s cop buddy- on Rockford Files.
2:56 “… What’s This, The FUCKIN’ U.N., NOW⁉️” 😂
It was never clear to me whether Tony B did or did not resent Tony for having done 17 years. There are a few clear hints in this video that he did, but there are also a few hints that he did not, partly thanks to Buscemi's masterclass acting.

I think he didn't resent Tony for the time in the jail, but when he was out of the can he expected more from tony and didn't like his attitude with him

Wasn't there a scene where they say Tony B got arrested but Tony S didn't, because Soprano was late or something ? Or that Tony S got away ? I always thought Tony B resented his cousin. He thought he took the years for Tony S, or that Tony S should have been arrested too. His jokes about Tony S, his entire attitude seemed like he was annoyed that Tony S was successful out on the street while he, Tony B, should have been. That's what I got from it.

I think he knew something shady was up, that’s why he says he wants to drive himself over. He probably would’ve driven off somewhere and didn’t think they’d just jump him right there on the spot.
Tony B. went to Carmine Sr.'s wake, looked at the casket and said, "Boy, you're dead!"
If I were Tony, I would have taken full advantage of that conflict. I think he'd be better off with Little Carmine being the victor simply because he's not too bright and could have played out to his advantage.
What happened to Angelo was beyond fucked up. It would’ve been nice to see Phil go through his Billy Batts death in the finale.
Historically i always thought, baring 'your point being what Sushi Magoo' , Angelo to be a glorified curtain jerker. But the beloved Mayor of Munchkinland and his flawless Italian was inspired writing and acting. The stare he gave Animal Blundetto was ice.
The way Angelo went out was messed up.
How many videos can there be? Always with the scenarios. I'm just kiddin ya.
I think Angelo got done dirty. He spent all those years in, he must of done well for himself before hand or was taken care of to get out and be so chill and not so money hungry, but the whole carmine vs sack really messed things up. If they would of just had bigger heads prevail it's obvious that carmine Jr would of never been a good boss to begin with so they should of automatically jumped behind sac
I may not have graduated top of my fuckin’ class, but I always found the part from 0:35 to 0:40 a bit irritating. Angelo seemingly goes from barely remembering Tony B to saying he was his best buddy inside. Also, how could he not know that Tony B and Tony S are cousins? Anyway, 4 dollars a pound.
