My father had one. Still has it, but I don't know if it still works. It was my TV back when I was in college in the early 80,s. I lived it!
Very cool. Good to see/hear you’re back up and running.
Cool...I worked a few items like that "back in the day",but not that particular model.
I had use of something that was taller and I think it might've been a Coleman or some other brand. Was a 5 inch TV, and radio combo, had the ability to run on "D" cells. I sure wish I had written down what brand it was. Golly, that JVC is swell ! Later, when I moved to the Boston area, I had a Radio Shack pocket TV (the smallish mirror one), and eventually, a radio, TV and cassette combo, that I sure wish I kept. Swell video, and please - keep up the great work, this was facinating ! :)

Thanks for watching! I was always fascinated with tiny TVs when I was younger, just never could afford to have a nice one.
Another way to get a signal to older TVs like this is a video sender like the wv-300. It lets you use portable TVs completely wireless. I have one and it works great.

I'll check that out. Thanka!
These sell for £30-40 on eBay UK which is real cheap but I just could not find a use for one to justify the purchase. Lovely piece of retro technology, though!

I was able to purchase this one for under US$30, so it was worth it even if it was just to play around with for a little while. It's nice looking, so it will be on display in my studio for a while as well. It has an industrial look, which I really like.

I have one of these. PSB is Public Service Band, which had police, fire, weather and other public agencies’ 2 way broadcasts. The European version has shortwave instead of the PSB band.

Thanks for asking! Doing well... I have the studio cleaned out. Electric is back on and I'm able to start making videos again. I just got a new editing PC and some other equipment that was damaged, so I'm on my way back.
Looks like it was used in Bladerunner to interrogate replicants.
