SO, I was rummaging through some old things, and discovered my old iPhone 3G from my childhood! On it was a very special application that I have VERY fond memories for! And I thought I'd share that with you in this overview/ mini-tutorial!
ALSO, IF you wanna play this yourself, you're gonna need an older version of iOS.

I'm glad someone else remembers this app (and that pitiful Sonic 4 trial). I still have it downloaded on my moldy old iPod Touch 4 to this day. Happy (belated) birthday!

i loved this video. im more of a mario guy, but im a decent sonic fan, i used to be a huge one but im not really that into it anymore. im also huge into in old ios devices, i have an ipad 2, ipod touch 4, and an iphone 4s, so ill definitely be getting this. thanks for making this video, i subscribed.
there was also a sonic game where you could play on mobile, which was sonic advance 2. yup. there was apps that looked like fake sonic games but they actually ran sonic advance 2 itself. no modifications whatsoever, just a mobile port. though i dont know if there are still some apps that do the same

i once played a sonic game where the entire gameplay is literally sonic advance 1 the only difference is sonic having pink shoes (i think) if i remember correctly, the title screen had sonic snowboarding i think i played it a really long time i dont have it on my phone anymore sadly

Actually, you know how you said that the 2009 ports weren’t available anymore. That’s not exactly true. You could still get sonic spin ball but you would have to do it through Internet archive however there is a catch you need a device that’s running iOS 6 or older just let you know!
