Listening to Robert, you realize how intelligent and well travelled artists used to be. He was using words I've never even heard before, and even regular discussions paint landscapes. Listen to your typical singer today and half each sentence consists of "like" and "'n stuff...".

Robert Plant is one of those very few musicians who could live outside the shadow of their past... It is not easy to be noticed as an individual when one has been in the greatest rock band in history... The other person i can think of is George Harisson.... RP not only made a place for himself but he constantly broke the boundaries... He has added new musical styles to his repertoire. This is most important...

Robert Plant is an intelligent guy. Far more knowledgable than anyone that has ever interviewed him. He was politely schooling Tom Power on some points about music. I met Robert. He is a gentleman and very sharp. After all that he has been through, it's still nice to see that he is well informed about the state of the world, politics and music and still has a good sense of humour. Very wise indeed!

What a delight to come across this tonight! I'd never seen it before. I started listening to Led Zeppelin when I was 12/13ish. Later when my friends and I were in high school, a group of us would go to a movie theater that showed The Song Remains the Same at midnight on Saturday nights. It became the norm for us to crowd into an old station wagon to go and sing along to the music. Everyone in the theater memorized it and when John Bonham would say, "We've done four already, but now we're steady and then they went, 1. 2 , 3, 4." the entire theater crowd would shout along with him. It was great fun. At 17 I attended my first Robert Plant concert. It was the Principle of Moments tour. In my twenties, my first born grew up listening to both Zeppelin and Robert Plant's music. In my 30's, and two more babies later, Robert Plant's music (post Zeppelin) and Zeppelin were serenading our home quite often. A few more concerts over the years and now two grandchildren who also know his music, an almost 58 year old me, is still so intrigued by Mr. Robert Plant. There's such a whimsical, genuine depth to him that is lovely and entertaining to listen to. He and Allison Krauss will be playing near me soon and though I saw them their first time around in 2008, I am sorely disappointed that I cannot see them again this summer. They are just fantastic together. Everyone should experience one of his/their concerts at least once. - Thank you for this interview. It was a pleasure to watch.

I had a dream about a month ago that I was hanging out with him in downtown St. Louis Mo. and we were trying to get someplace in an old car. Never got there but the dream was so cool! It was a treat! I wish I could have just one piece of his jewelry from the '70s. I never tire of Led Zeppelin btw. It's not the only band I love, but it's in the top 5 for sure! I realize that life goes on. I'm not the same person I was 30 yrs. ago either, but I hope he realizes how many of us still love Led Zeppelin and he appreciates the impact he and the band have had on so many lives. Music is what brings memories to mind and it takes you back or takes you on a trip every time you listen to it.

Robert started talking about how if he did everything the same he'd be in a successful band. Then says that is why he is playing at the farmer's market in a moment. lol The interviewer just missed a great opportunity to get into Robert's mind. Robert at that point is putting information out there about how he really feels about his music, his life, his career and the interviewer is just too worried about showing Robert a performance of Heart doing Stairway to Heaven at the Kennedy Center honors. It's kind of a shame. To which he replied what has happened to everything and how much was lost. I think a lot of us are tired of the idol worship and are more interested in the person.

q way to go ~A cool surprise to see this interview ~ last time I was this close it was Man-Pop the old winnipeg arena with a rainstorm outside...I was an arm's length from the stage, Robert was wearing a silver-sequined purple leather vest over a shirtless bod.....truly magnificent performance, stunning actually ~

Why would it be strange that a young person would like Led Zeppelin? Young people were who they wrote their music for! Hell, _they_ were young people when they were writing and performing it. Of course young folks will like it when they give it a chance.

Can't Plant, Page and Jones reunite again before everything's too late? AND for the love of ghad, throw in a duet for the Rock God, and Goddess, Robert Plant, and Ann Wilson, respectively, and have Jimmy Page and Nancy Wilson on guitars, PLEASE!!! 😭

Sounds a bit corny to be honest, if they reunite as Zeppelin. The music and the attitude have to be on point for it to work, otherwise they'd be a joke like all the other famous bands faking it. These guys no longer intersect on a level where they could just go out and really do it. I could see Jonesy and Robert doing something in the realm of experimental music but all three? Seems a bit of a tired sentiment. Zeppelin died on September 25, 1980. Rest In Peace John Bonham.
