Entrance of the Clowns. adapted by David Tobin, Jeff Meegan & Rob Kelly. This is the middle part of Fucik's Entrance of the Gladiators. The part she plays and is thus referring to isn't the whole piece but the circus music the adapted part was arranged for. Thus Entrance of the Clowns.

The history regarding that piece is quite funny! So for those who don't know, it's called Entry of the Gladiators. It was composed by Julius Fučík and was originally called Grande Marche Chromatique (before changing it to Entry of the Gladiators because of his interest in the description of the gladiators in the novel Quo Vadis). It was created as a new military march during his time as bandmaster in the Austro-Hungarian Army to show the might of the Austro-Hungarians....the Empire dissolved as the result of its humiliating defeat in WWI and the march is now associated with the circus. The irony is strong with this one. Julius left a piece that has stood the test of time...just not the kind of legacy that he was hoping for. If American politics had a theme, it would definitely be this one.

"Entrance of the Gladiators" aka "Thunder & Blazes March" by Julius Fucik. A really wonderful (and challenging, for an orchestra) piece. I'm not sure why it's so indelibly associated with circuses, unless it's just that they found its complexity made for great ballyhoo in the parade that usually announced a circus' arrival. Sampled in I-can't-count-how-many songs; Three Dog Night's "The Show Must Go On" modified it slightly and used that very well, I think. Edit: Yes, it was rewritten for a smaller band by another composer as a "screamer," a fast circus march, a few years later under a new title. Edit: YT user The Wicked North's post of "Entrance of the Gladiators" shows just how beautiful and majestic this piece is when not played at the breakneck speed that's common now!

My guess was since it was written for Austria-Hungary's military other nations began to mock it, though if Google is to be believed at the start of the 1900s a Canadian wrote a version for small band which became popular for exciting audiences before a show since it was very upbeat for the time period, hence seeing use in the circus.

@@idkwhattosayatthispoint Entry of the Gladiators.. Julius Fucik (though I might have unintentionally butchered his last name..)
Props for the editing of this video! Thems some sharp jump cuts! End result does not show how tricky that timing can be. Fun and well done!
The fact that this song was in my dream last night 😭
Entry of the Gladiators, an Austrian Military Marching song
As a person that has heard the song, but doesn’t know the name, so emotional It’s true, this video is a masterpiece!
OMG THIS IS GENIUS!!!! the amount of editing alone, not to mention you madam are friggin' HILARIOUS!!!😂😂😂
I confirm this is 100% true
I know the name but im glad other people don’t because one time I linked the song and the other person didn’t know what it was until they clicked on it
OH! As a joke, my high school band played this song during our Spring concert (the entire brass section, including myself, was graduating, and this was our final performance of high school). We were all shocked to learn that the name was not, in fact, “Circus Clown Song”, but instead “Entrance of the Gladiators” Not what we expected. Not what anyone would expect, really.
I LOVE THIS!! especially the kazoo part and where the doll is tapping the keys. you are going places Miss Awesome
It’s "Entrance of the Gladiators", by the Czech composer Julius Fučík.
It’s a kid version of a song called Carousel by Circus Contraption and I think it’s called Entrance of the Clowns or something like that
This was soooo inspiring, thank you soo much for reminding about this 💙
'Afro circus' from Madagascar 3?

Entrance of the gladiators... known that for ages
This sped up is the funniest thing I’ve seen in awhile
As someone who never heard this song,I see this as an absolute win.

It's called "Entrance Of The Gladiators," but it's mostly associated with carnivals and circus clowns.

@@anime_girl4626 Yeah, it became associated with circuses and carnivals when they started playing it when clowns would enter.

With a last name like bairagi, I don't think this commenter has ever been to or seen a circus before. 😅
This is so incredible you crazy crazy artist
This is so true
Elise back at it with the unhinged videos
The amazing teleportation to get to the keys is truly a beautiful art of sensation! ❤
