The sole is NOT STITCHED! Shoe repair in blake assembly | leather care and shoe shine
Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
It's a low priced pair of shoes that I'm fixing today. The rubber of the sole was starting to have holes and more importantly, the sole no longer held to the shoe.
Unfortunately, the sole was not sewn, which is quite common for low-budget shoes. However, I did the repair like any pair of shoes! A leather/rubber sole suited the style of the shoe well and I sewed it with Blake stitches.
I also show you how to reload thread into a sewing machine spool. If you are interested I could show you more how the machines work! (Blake and Goodyear).
I dyed the soles dark brown for a more classic look. The customer was very satisfied with the repair and was happily surprised that these low-budget shoes could have a second life!
I want to thank you so much for watching and commenting on my videos! I share my passion with you and my daily work

Unfortunately, the sole was not sewn, which is quite common for low-budget shoes...😞 Did you know that it is possible to repair them and sew the sole? 😃

Good asmr
Where are you based
What’s the cost of a new sole
What about putting some layer of cork before the new sole?

I usually do, but for this shoe build I didn't find it necessary. Originally there was a thin foam (the white stuff) and that was enough :)
Where r u?
Le talon ???
Shoes like that are not worth repairing. The guy could buy new shoes for less than the repair cost.

People upgrade stuff all the time like better tires and wheels on their cars or a custom made or tailored suit. Why do you feel the need to make yourself sound like a fool ? You must not like quality shoes and shop at cheap discount stores for $10.00 plastic throw away shoes. Just because your finances can't measure up to this standard is now reason to spew nonsense to make yourself sound like you know quality when obviously ( by your coment) you don't. This customer probably paid $175 or more for those shoes and their leather and fit him nicely and are broken in to mold to his feet so upgrading them is of great benefit to him. If you have never enjoyed quality things and always buy throw away cheap plastic shoes how would you ever know the benifits that an experienced cobbler can do for you? Maybe some day you too will be able to afford that luxury but for now we excuse your ignorance and lack of knowledge regarding quality shoes and craftsmanship.

*Well said! I hate when people easily say that without considering the customer at all. Also, sentimental value is also super common with their shoes. I know I'd want to extend the life of my shoes too. It doesn't sound like this guy has ever been to a cobbler. Anyway, thanks for your great comment! I wish more people were understanding like you!*
