Wonderful details in the 3 part tutorial. I could relate with a lot of mistakes that I commonly make when the seasions are longer. One tends to start well but lack the consistency through a longer session. The key point is to be consistent, which comes from practice and muscle memory. There's been a few on how to practice long safety but I would love to see a video with hints on how to play safety with different scenarios (ball on the side cushion, ball on the top cushion, different angles etc.). Basically a tactics / shot selection oriented video. Also as I like to re watch your videos in between the time new ones come up, have you considered grouping them into KZread play lists? Like divide them into technique, practice routines, break building, Q&A etc. It would help a lot to find videos as there are more and more on your Chanel and simply going through all to look what I am looking for is taking more and more time ;) As always, cheers :)

Another great informative video Steve👍👏 Excellent section on 'elbow drop' i truly believe that the elbow drop has to be natural to the player. Its very difficult to learn or teach. You hit the nail on the head with it really, players can drop the elbow too early and thats fatal. O'sullivan, Murphy and Selby have a natural elbow drop which happens AFTER connection with the cueball. Also the hand to chest can help to eliminate 'quitting' and 'decelerating' on the shot. Great stuff Steve👌

A big difference to most club table. TV tables will play MUCH MUCH faster. Then you have the in between tables. So my coaching table has a fast cloth on. It's much faster than the average club table. Hi Steve, can you please do a video on cue delivery using your wrist? I see players like Mark Allen, Neil and Judd are all very good at playing power shots by using their wrist. I think the key for not allowing elbow drops a lot is to use more wrist for cue delivery instead of locking it? By using a lot of wrist will also naturally relax your tension on delivering the cue.

Hey Steve. Great video as always. Got a question for you. Let's say you have a student where you notice he has a slight wobbling of his bridge hand from side to side. In other words, due to muscle tension in the forearm, the base of the thumb tends to slightly lift away from the nap, therefore the cue tip moves sideways during feathering as well as final bs/del. What would you tell your student what to do to fix this? Thanks! :-)

How do the likes of Judd and Robbo generate so much power and spin when they don't keep the tip in contact with the ball for longer than usual on those shots? I'd have thought that to add extra power without increasing distance would naturally create a snappier, potentially jabby action as speed was increased over a shorter distance.

In the West Midlands 👍
i cannot put my chin on the cue- my stance is allwrong.
Ronnie's and jack's elbow also drops but they still pot the balls.....how that works then??

Steve did mention that the drop happens after the cue ball has left the tip,so there is no impact ,even if the elbow drops.

@@ahmedaslam7916 watch all 3 of the videos in this series. Work hard on doing all the things I talk about, and keep it natural. You will improve, but all these things take time.
The best players seem to break these technical rules. Judd is very loose , selby moves all over on his shots and ronnie often digs down on the cueball
Show difficult shorts.. everyone shows easy hits 🤔
