For the shrapnel shot, I think you should place snipers more towards the back of the map, because the shrapnel, like in the first game, wasn't really hitting the bloons behind it. If you placed it more towards the back, it would target the first bloon (if you have it on first) and the shrapnel would hit the bloons behind it, but since it was more towards the front, it wasn't hitting the bloons behind, it was hitting the bloons in front, but since there were no bloons in front of it, the shrapnel were essentially wasted. This could not be how it works, but that is just what I think is the reason you were struggling.

Idea make a cosmetic that says "a defend is a defend

Sniper placement actually matters when going for shrapnel shot, since shrapnel is sent in the direction that the sniper bullet was shot from. Simply put, you’ll wanna line them up so that the bloons are constantly approaching the sniper and not fleeing from him. Of course, that means that the effectiveness of a Sniper start is very dependent on the map. First game was obviously not a very good map for a Sniper start since there are barely any moments where the bloons are approaching the Sniper.

Having the snipers with shrapnel mostly at the bottom left woulda been better since most Bloons are going from top to bottom left then sits at middle right. It's alright though

@@merilynnshark6144 Putting a shrapnel shot Sniper on Last is appallingly bad in most circumstances since it usually guarantees that the shrapnel gets sent outside the map, where no bloons exist. The only niche edge case where putting it on Last is more effective is when you have an obstacle that (1) blocks the Sniper from shooting at BOTH entrances of the map, AND (2) sets him up so that he will IMMEDIATELY start shooting at bloons that are fleeing from him. Or, if you’re simply looking to pop down black/white/zebra layers for Bombs or Ices without it focusing on MOABs, just have it so that there is an obstacle that lets bloons build up before the Sniper starts shooting at them. Again, extremely niche use cases. The only good reason you should set Snipers to Last is to either purposely leak bloons or potentially stall an AI MOAB/BFB with a Maim MOAB to make the round last longer.

@@yojojo3000 Good to note, I don't play btd (6 or battles 2) and even when I did I rarely used the sniper.

I think early on the positioning of the sniper is important. I played an offtide game and put it near the goalpost and a 022 defended reds with no issue maximizing the shrapnel pierce

Sniper bottom path is pretty op with the higher crosspath so it can deal much more damage. I use middle crosspath just only for camo detection

here's what i do, immediately place sniper just in the straight lane and upgrade to SHRAPNEL shot then after only to fast... its works so gooooooood

I think partl why sharpnel is not effective in the first round is its positioning if the sharpnel hit against the direction instead of with the direction ,the shaprnel can hit more ballons part shot

The better crosspath (at least imo) for sniper is 2-0-5 cause it lets you pop leads and it pops everything up to zebras in one shot

One small tip, another way to make money would've been some rubber-to-gold alchemists in the first game since Jericho's AI bloons are worth more :)

I just realized Alchemist is a pretty good counter to Jericho because of that. Yes, there might be stronger balloons, but you'd be getting a lot more cash to use in your defenses.

Hi, i'm a returning player, could someone tell me what the whole prestige thing is about and how to get it?

I'm no pro player but you need to place a different tower down before sniper. Basic reds will bleed through on sniper otherwise so just get something down, be it a hero or something else, then go for 1-3-0 on sniper as soon as possible. It's dps is low but it always defends for me.

At least the alc buff gave the full auto a bit more damage output, so it wasn't really a waste.

023 sniper cant pop leads, but 024 can. You don't need AMD on it, once you get the 4th tier. It used to be that way in BTD6 but they changed it. 024 sniper can hit all bloon types, with no extra buffs.
