The Smokehouse Hotel in Cameron Highlands
Built in 1939, The Smokehouse Hotel is one of the oldest commercial buildings in Cameron Highlands. The Tudor-style building was once a place for British colonial officers to find room and board in cool climate, and reminisce about home.
Owner Alex Lee shows The Malaysian Insight just how much the hotel he had inherited from his late father, Peter Lee, is a part of his family’s legacy.

Honestly we had multiple visits to the smokehouse and they were very memorable. Always come in the morning when the staffs are happy to greet you. I havent had the chance to stay overnight bcoz weekends are short with activities but definitely my Malaysian bucket list. Hope the management stays the same and please dont sell it to moghuls. Really hate drastic changes. See you in 2022 smokehouse.
Been stay here for 2 nights for my family. Their staff very friendly. Upon check in, we got free upgrade from deluxe into couple suites. It is becoz my wife pregnancy for 8 month. Its a great experiences so far. 👌🏼
Hotels can sprout anywhere but Smoke HOUSE always will be the best . God bless with the very best of every thing always. With gratitude always in our hearts .
Really hope to stay in this cosy hotel soon.
