@@Vinnare Yeah, it's a bit weird how they've done it. It says so in the item description, and even gives you the symbol as if it is, but you'll take the same amount of damage wearing any other armour if you have the same (or near enough the same) absorption. Even made sure myself, just in case the wiki and fextra were wrong.

I saw someone say they had checked the game’s regulation file manually and that the fextra page was wrong (unheard of, I know), and that it does also add a debuff of 2% additional damage per piece. No idea if that’s actually true or not but I thought I’d throw it out there. I will say it would be kinda weird if the debuff icon on the screen didn’t actually do anything.

The low resistance values are horrible to say the least, I'd rather have normal armor and take 10% more damage. The armor does look good though.

Honestly even without the buff transfer, i have no idea what to do against this thing. So little fp, so little stam, heat seeking missile that can true combo into itself or any mainhand weapon. Its actually insane

in 1v1s is not that bad, you can trade really well against it (without the rkr tactic oc) in ganks this thing could be the worst..... i hope they change it to simply do around 300 damage at max and cost like 9 fp..... it should be a magic spamer counter, not an everything counter (theres still things more broken than this shield tho.... from has a lot of fixing up to do)

@@josechianetta even in 1v1 its a pain cuz it always poise breaks. You need hyperarmor to get trade into it. If you roll into the person using it, they have prio because you have to delay your roll a tick to avoid the discus, so if they just l2-r1, then you dont get the opening. Cant strafe it, cant strafe-jump, maybe could shield poke it or try to raptors of the mist or something but idk

I ONLY used it in 1v1s and had the best success with death proc The only people that gave me trouble at all were GS users the flame skewer AoW only really made it so I couldn't just stand there spamming L2 in order to get my win I had to roll a little bit but they go down all the same.. Also nope jumping and raptor of the mist just leaves you open... worst evasive ash in the game.... just jump in the air and get smacked.. beats poison cleanrot BHS mages, shields hit from behind.. it's too oppressive lol Hope they patch it soon... I'm about to test tumble buffing on it 😅 And it's STILL not as bad as swift slash or rolling spark lol

It can even do a full 180° if you try to rush into the shield throw with AoW like Blinkbolt... you will get hit in the back

So happy I made it to one of your streams today! You and saint riot are definitely my fav creators when it comes to fromsoft content.

I really love how the dlc has made the game meta level gone up to the 150 to 200 range. I always felt like the 125 meta level was a bit low for Elden Ring. Glad to see it change.

If fingerprint shield/swift slash/lightning perfume guy pulled out fireknight’s greatsword and spread crossbow I would have had bingo

This shield + the smithscript axe is so much fun, the shield AOW is great and you can still throw the axe as well while still being dangerous in meele

Now, just use the smith script great hammer and you will become Captain America in Avengers: Endgame.

I love this shield, not as a main weapon, but in the offhand to finish off those that run away when their health is low

@@andrewbowen2837 Well that's what invaders do too. Head to the nearest mob. Anyhow, invading isn't supposed to be fair for either side. It isn't an invitation to 1v1. There's the colosseum for that. Honestly, 3v1 invasions are simply for easy runes. Sit, wait, easy. They don't care to 1v1 because they don't want to or have to but if 1v1 pvp is what you want, why invade? Join a colosseum where that's exactly what you're looking for. It is OK if they're garbage, they didn't invite you.

@TheMeanArena invasions have existed in every single souls game of Fromsoftware, and they have always been a risk to players who used embers or humanity. They were able to take on lone hosts before. And if people summoned, they were more likely to be invaded as a trade off. If youre going to summon your butt buddies, there has to be something to balance out your new easy mode. Plus, it's part of the experience. Duels and the colosseums are a completely separate entity. There is a different style of optimized tryhard build in the arena. Plus the very sterile conditions do not match the thrill of a classic invasion scenario. So, moral of the story, if you don't want to be invaded, play solo. You're fortunate elden ring favors the host so much, because otherwise, your lack of skill would be put on showcase even more

that new light greatsword move set looks kinda stacked! and the tracking and range on the shield is magical. better than magical actualy lol its faster better tracking and more damaging and less expensive than any spell. pairing it with a staff could be realy fun though? with some slower tracking spells to force rolls and punish by throwing the shield. then you have your carrion blade spells for close in stuffs or the odd punish. sounds really fun actually.

I have seen someone in the arena use deathblight(eclipse shotel buff) with this and honestly its scary since the deathblight procs even if one dodges the discus. I still won that fight tho

I been re-loving the Sword of Night and flame cheak it out with the new stance Tal stacked with alex shard and fire attack up with FLAME, GRANT ME STRENGTH incantation can max out that fire attack sooo much i fear some massive nerfs on the way

I had a lot of fun with this when I initially started using it, the discus hurl would catch everyone almost every time to a degree that I thought it must be really difficult to deal with. Then I faced someone using it in the arena and turns out it's really easy to dodge. Lol

There are tons of things that are strong if you’re getting ganked by 3 of them because of course that makes it hard, they shouldn’t balance anything based around ganks. Discus Hurl is not bad compared to actually broken stuff like either of the backhand blade AoWs (but especially Swift Slash), Fire Knight Greatsword true combo, etc. If they fix the glitch with the shield misapplying buffs from the main hand it won’t be anywhere near overpowered.

hey lost, would love to see you try the backhand blades. Very agile and fast and with the blindspot ash you can easily turn around around enemys

Nice to see it is the same for others, pop crimson whirl and they still keep hammering you with magic even tho you take no damage from it.

Pre 1.12 I would say that straight swords were actually better than light greatswords, especially when using psss.

i died to someone haing this exact build yesterday in shadow keep back gate and i was so mad.. i think it may have been you oh great lost!

The thing about the shield is it's actually kinda hard to see it since the thin side is facing towards the enemy and the darker colors of it also make it much harder to see in darker areas.

I love this thing, its one way for me to hit sansses, sanssas the acient dragon on the jagged edge.

That sheild is amazing to use

If this shield works that way then try the nanaya torch (frenzy one) with royal knights resolve

I had someone use this against me and they were fair enough to not spam it thankfully cause it was confusing me how to dodge at first.

I am happy I found this out during my blind play instead on youtube. I made a Captain Marika build and didnt use the bug I play honorably cause it is cap. Enjoy the bug while it last. This is a fault in the code and will be fixed asap so enjoy breaking the game while you can.

The shield and the hammer are my 2 favorite weapons in the game rn ❤

after all the different gank setups if seen, I don't consider anything unfair for invaders anymore.

How did they let this happen again? This glitch has popped up 3 separate times, and it's the same glitch every time (main weapon applies on weapon art of off hand weapon). Why? They nerfed RKR because of it in the first place lol

Hello Mr. I'm lost, here's hoping you eventually find your way home, But In all seriousness, here's a fun fact, the Rakshasa armor doesn't actually make you take more damage, that part is a lie The long story short is that the Rakshasa armor is a medium armor masquerading as a heavy armor, the chest piece for example is the exact same weight as malikeths chest piece but has less resistances then malikeths chest piece, all in all it's a VERY good armor set that more people should be playing

The Rakshasa armor has the resistances that are more "at home" in the medium armors but it has the weight of heavier armors like maliketh's, for example, is what I'm trying to say

It isn't so bad to deal with, especially since you can just block it. But what do you do if you can't block it? You die, simple as. Have fun out there trying to avoid the concussion-flying-disc

It's crazy how spoiled they are, ain't it? Good starting weapons that you actually START with is crazy. Miyazaki needs to tighten up. I could see a "Broken Branch" as a good Elden Ring starting weapon. Does 10 damage and the description would read "Small branch of an Erdtree sapling, whose light has long since faded. It now possesses nary more power than a typical twig."
